Serving all day breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, anytime snacks. Dine in or takeout.
This eatery is like a food staple people in the old North Vancouver, ( Lower Lonsdale ) call it. this eatery has been there for many many years. the food is very good, and a good, and i mean a Good breakfast ( all day ). I love this place, love it. Food is hot & tasty, i can say for sure i will be back again and have sausages and eggs over easy. mmmm Love it thank-you Moodyville Cafe, see you soon. by Allan Cassidy
We are addicted to the blueberry pancakes, so this is the limit of our experience of the menu and of course the coffee.
The pancakes are generously sized, so the regular order is sufficient for most appetites. The number of blueberries per pancake is outstanding.
The patrons need to follow the signs to order before taking a seat.
It works out better for the flow of food from the kitchen.
It is a very down home atmosphere but the atmosphere is light due to the windows on two sides of the restaurant. It is within walking distance to the North Vancouver waterfront.
There are a few outdoor tables which is great on a nice day.
The staff are friendly and it is excellent value.
Almost hate to share the "secret" as they can be busy enough on the weekends.
Nice that you can find an all day breakfast place. Tried their corn beef hash. Hash was the 'out of the can' type you buy from the store so that was just OK. Nice mix with pototoes, onions and peppers. The eggs came poached all the way as I prefer it to be runny. Will ask for that next time. For around $9, not bad value. The burgers looked good for next time. Service was decent, you pay and they deliver your food at the table. Cafe type of atmosphere.
I have eaten here many times, and been back since they renovated their location.
I've only had their breakfast from their light & fluffy Pancakes, french toast to scramble eggs & hash brown with toast. This place is popular, busy on the weekends, and serves breakfast all day, when you want to have a late start to your day. Its not expensive, there's plenty of coffee to choose from at the counter, and the staff is friendly.
If you're looking for a place to start your day, that will fill you up, & won't break your bank, then check this location out.
I will be back.
I love this place.
My husband and I have been there regularly for couple of years. We always have good food and pleasant service. This place is small, often people have to wait for tables on the weekend. But weekdays are not so busy. We went there this Wed morning around 11am, we noticed there were couple of tables outside. Despite of the noise fr the road construction at that intersection, the tables were gone before we could get it. We ordered corn beef harsh and veggie harsh, plus self sever style coffee, the bill came to just under $20. You pay upfront like you do at a coffe shop.
Our meals came with multigrain toast(there is sourdough toast too), harsh, 2 poached eggs, veggie for me and corn beef for him. Very generous servings. I couldn't finish my plate even I was hungry when I got there.
I noticed there were people doing take out.
I've had their pancakes too, and enjoyed them. They also have sandwiches and soup. But so far, we only tried their breakfast. Every things we ordered was delicious.
What a little gem.
Mrs. C and I were wandering the North Shore looking for food and sun, when we spotted this place. It was super-packed, but looked inviting nonetheless. I snagged a table while my beloved dining companion lined up to order. You have to order at the counter, and then they give you a number on a stick. Shortly thereafter, a server arrives with plates of food. At least in theory…
The kitchen was a little backed up, so we got some self-serve coffee (they have 3 kinds) and waited. After a long, but in the circumstances understandable wait, we got gigantic plates of food. I had a western omelette with pancakes and home fries. Mrs. C. had eggs and ham with pancakes. All the food was tasty, and the pancakes were especially fluffy.
The servers were doing their best to keep up with the crowds, and they seemed cheerful despite the stress. The ambiance is pleasant enough, and the place was very clean.
Overall a good breakfast spot and a definite candidate for a repeat visit.
