this restaurant has a nice look to it, and can sometimes be o.k.,It is the luck of the draw coming here. tonight the service was so slow.
We had calamari to start and that was not bad, small portion but fairly tasty then we waited forever for our dinners to come. The waitress even came over finally and said "your dinners should be ready soon" which made us figure they screwed up our order. we still had to wait quite a while after that. So finally my sirloin steak shows up, well it tasted horrible. No flavour at all, almost like it was boiled it was so blah. Of course no one even bothered to ask if everything was alright. I was so hungry at this point I just ate the dinner. The mashed potaoes tasted o.k. they were served with a bit of gravy, the veggies were on the cold side and over cooked. My husband orderd the seafood crepe,I tasted it and did not like that either. the sauce on top was yucky and it was stuffed with some tiny shrimp pieces.
too be fair,I have eaten here before and it has been alright, never great but it is a convenient place for us to go to, sometimes when your hungry that is a good enough reason to go. So if you need to travel any distance to come to this restaurant I'd recommend going someplace else.
We will to go to the Marina Grill for breakfast. Depending on the weather the outdoor patio maybe open. Great view of the marina but can be a bit noisy with the 2nd narrows bridge overhead and the shunting of train cars on rare days.
The food is consistently good - your classic breakfast choices with pancakes and waffles too. Service is okay but its a busy place so be prepared to wait a bit.
They have recently updated the entrance of the restaurant which has been a huge improvement!
