We tried making a reservation several times and were greeted by really grumpy maitre' ds who seems like they had more important things to do. We have visited the restaurant twice and were disappointed both times. Our first visit was marred by the fact that the patio was booked by a function even though we were told that it was a first come first served basis when we made the booking. We told the maitre' d when we arrived that were disappointed that the patio was unavailable and she should inform customers when they enquire. More customers that arrived had the same complaint. This is because their dining room is very small and the chairs are very uncomfortable. It reminded me of grandmother's "proper" dining room. The patio is definitely more casual and less claustrophobic.

The food is decent but service is so poor. Waiters expect you to order wine, and we were judged when we declined wine with our lunch.

The food is quite expensive and the price has been steadily increasing.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The only good thing about this place is that it is next to Brazza which has the best gelato and coffee in town.

A friend and I picked up the nerve to try this place despite being laughed at by others. We both tried the fish n chips. The little sign in the window said the "best in town". I beg to differ. I would say the WORST we have ever had. Extremely greasy and the chips were pathetic. I think their oil hasn't been changed in some time. Although the owners are nice and friendly, this place seems to cater to the older, single male on a very fixed income. Very sad.

Go for the chinese not the seafood

This is a little hole in the wall seafood/Chinese restaurant. It's owned and operated by a husband and wife. (Joe and Tammy) Joe does the cooking and Tammy the serving. They are both really friendly people. Joe will sometimes come out and chat with us if he's not busy at the end of the meal.

Although my family always calls it "Joe's fish and chips" we almost never eat fish and chips there. C-lovers is probably better for that. We almost always get chinese food.

Their coleslaw is yummy, it has more of a lemony dressing instead of a creamy one. The house fried rice is good, (good $ value lots of different things in it) and the Wor wonton soup is a family favourite. Sometimes I'll get the chinese combo as well.

This is NOT a fine dinning restaurant, but if you want decent, cheap food (for a night off cooking) you can get it here.
