I eat here all the time. The food is about as good as you want it to be, you choose the vegetables, meat, sauce and you can tell them how you want it cooked. The food is fresh and crispy, but the meat looks just okay, it is frozen and can sometimes be fatty. The service here is awesome, we just so happen to go on the day they first opened so we have seen the place from when it was slow to super busy and the staff and owners are always keeping up with the pace. The value depends on what you are getting. The all you can eat is a good deal if you want to try different things or you just eat a lot. The one bowl is an awesome deal if you already know what you are going to put in your bowl. Both of the meals include rice. The dinner includes one beverage. Prices and whats included is still changing probably because they just opened and are trying to figure out what their needs will be. The ambiance is pretty good, it can get crowded though. I will be returning again and again, and I will recommend it to others who like stir-frys.
I was craving Mongolian BBQ and didn't feel like going downtown. It was very quiet when we arrived. There was only 1 couple seated. We were quickly greeted and seated and asked by the girl if we have been here before and explained how it worked. Selection of veggies were allright except I am used to seeing Spinach which there was none of. They have Shiitake mushroom instead of the usual white mushrooms which is nice to some people (except I don't like Shiitake) too bad for me.
The services was friendly and warm. The nice thing is that it's clean (unlike most). We had the all you can eat which was $15.99. The only thing I suggest is because the bowls in which you get your raw food in is so small, cut down the sauce amounts to half or you'll end up with very saucy stuff.
Overall experience was nice. I will return.
After craving a Mongolian BBQ restaurant on the North Shore for years, I was extremely happy when this place opened up. The area where you fill up your bowl with food is a bit awkward, and I find it a bit cramped. The vegetable and sauce selection is, however, quite good.
Having been there several times since it opened, I have to say the staff have started to master the cooking procedure. The wait staff, on the other hand, aren't exactly the sharpest people around. Looks like most of them haven't worked in a restaurant before.
All of this, of course is made up for by the fact that I love the food, and you can't beat the all-you-can-eat deal (which, as of last time I was there, I think was $15 or so, with a drink included).
I have two other complaints regarding this place which I think should be remedied. 1) They do not serve alcoholic beverages. 2) It's only open until 9pm or so, even on weekends. If they served beer and were open later, I would be there every other week.
Gotta tell you about the place.
Extremely clean, nice and cozy.
Everything there is American standard, not Asian standard.
Whatever the music they play sounds great!
Very much different from other mongolian restaurants downtown.
They implement French cooking in it. Gotta try their Peanut Pesto and Vinigar salad dressing. They are outstanding.
Was very pleased with their service as well. Real friendly and polite.
Glad to have one in North shore.
