Mrs. C and I were in search of chow on the North Shore and since our original choice was not open yet (despite a glowing review on this site), we headed down the street to Cheers. This place does a huge business as a banquet hall and meeting place for the various service clubs in town. This time the Rotary were having their weekly meeting upstairs. The restaurant below was far less busy. There was a sea of empty tables, and the buffet was not open. We were greeted by a friendly server and seated in the vast emptiness of the dining room. I have to say the place was really beat up inside, but it seemed reasonably clean. The menu featured some really cheap food, including the all-day 5 dollar big breakfast. We went for burgers combos instead (at 6 bucks each) and I ordered a bacon wrapped scallop appy. The appetizer was burnt and looked like something left over from the freezer section of the local supermarket. It was awful, so points off. The burgers on the other hand were pretty good. The fries I had with mine deserve special mention.

So some good, some bad. I see the previous reviewer had the breakfast. A courageous move. I am not that brave, and I will stick to the burgers from now on...

This family friendly-restaurant also caters hence the name. Upon entering it looks like a regular family restaurant, however I must say the booths are my favourite place to sit. Owners are a married couple who themselves strive to provide great customer service however their wait staff fall short of their examples. Perfect service for me is to be offered a refill on my water glass which Cheers does sometimes fall short of. All I ask is for the wait staff to be paying attention to the details! Best value hands down on their BLT Mozza burger special. You can't beat an awesome, big burger oozing mozza, crispy bacon and crispy fries(ask for them crispy WAY better)for only $5.99 including soda or iced tea. Gravy is actually awesome for dipping of fries, thick and coating as it should be. Kid friendly chicken strips are also a value at $3.99 for meal,drink, and ice cream. Buffet specials on weekends, sandwiches and full meals rouond out the menu. Try it once and you'll crave it forever.

I was to a buffet lunch here, and what a surprise. I never new this restaurant was here and boy have I missed out on good food. The buffet was about the best I have ever had. Lots of food choices, lots of food, great taistes and then topped by an array of desserts to die for. I will be looking for an excuse to go back.

For value, you won't find any better Sunday Brunch (except maybe Vegas). Besides the usual brunch stuff (eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, waffles etc.) they had a great clam chowder soup, salad bar, other hot items and dessert, coffee, and orange juice for 1 low price. I went to IHOP and after having 1 plate of food and expensive coffee, I was still hungry and you only get 1 choice and no juice, salad, soup nor dessert is included with your meal. Ambience is just casual but this place is 1/2 price of the hotels and worth the price. Sunday brunch is very busy here!
