Nice New Place

The usual dinner gang members were all craving different things, so we decided to hit BP for a bite. The restaurant was nicely decorated inside and was typical of its type: lots of exposed wood and fake stone, booths galore, humongous TV’s, etc. Everything was clean and new looking including the w/c.

Service was great throughout the meal, and there were lots of quality checks. The menu had plenty of choices, and most of the crew ordered combos from the 10 dollar value menu including pasta, chicken, and similar food. I decided to have a burger and yam fries which cost a bit more but tasted great. We also had beers and some martinis, since they were on special. Everyone was happy with the experience, and the price was right.

We will be back soon.

Now I Remember Why It Was Fifteen Years Between My Last Visit

Buddy and I stopped in a few weeks ago on a rainy night to this cozy little place to catch the end of the Canucks game. Good atmosphere, great friendly, quick service at decent prices. The volume of the game was a little loud, but that's to be expected. After hoisting a few cold ones my stomach started getting the growlies. Scanning through the menu, I couldn't help but notice the budget friendly choices. My mind was telling me pizza, but my craving was for a steaming hot bowl of fettuccine, smothered in creamy alfredo sauce. Service was again very efficient. My eyes grew with anticipation as the pasta was letting off some steam on its way to our table. I dove right into the meal, but quickly realized something was OFF. Bad cream possibly. I attempted to mask the OFF taste by trying to spice it up with some crushed red chilli flakes. Still extremely bland with a sketchy aroma. No taste at all. Buddy agreed, as he ordered the same. Truthfully, the garlic toast was the real star of this meal. Red flags should have gone up when I saw the waitresses carrying almost half plates of food from other tables back to the kitchen {not to be reheated} but I chalked it up to the humongous portions that were being served. Ambiance was outstanding and see real potential here if you stick to the pizzas and beers. The pasta dishes were only ten dollars, so I guess the old "you get what you pay for" saying applies to these particular dishes. Will probably pop in again, strictly for the pizza and beers though. The framed, autographed picture of Howie Mandel hanging on the wall was a little tacky. Almost laughable. John Ratzenberger where have you gone?

I noticed this new Boston Pizza about a month ago and decided to try it. I have been here a few times and the food is just okay. I had the special they were promoting at all BP's you get a salad and a main course with one side dish. I found the food to be bland compared to the other BP I usually go to. The second time I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich, this was so bad. I took a couple of bites and it was good at first but when I got to the meat part of it it just tasted like alcohol. I was unimpressed. The service at this location has been hit or miss. I have gone and sat and waited and other times the server is there right away. I would say BP has overall good prices. They have a promo like I mentioned earlier which I find to be a good deal for around $10. The ambiance is wonderful here. The whole dining room is completely separate from the lounge area. They also have a couple of big screen TV's in the dining room area, which is nice if you don't want to go sit at a table in the lounge/bar area. I will probably return due to the location (right next to a movie theatre and the Quay)

Hey People Who Like Kids Noise And Kids in The Aisles

This is the place for you. Funny their commercials show people ordering alcohol. Yeah good luck with that. For a pretend fine dining restaurant they had several kids making noise, running around and delighting daddy and mommy with loud statements about coke and "pizza!". The food is not healthy I guess. The waitresses were suitably dressed (like a lame family restaurant). We were able to get the cheque when we asked for it. I cannot see how to improve this restaurant without changing it whole..
