2S Green Asian Cuisine offers a choice of Asian cuisine including curries, stir fried beef, Malaysian dishes, Thai fried rice, chow mein, wonton soup, Thai chicken salad, dim-sum, and much more.
Went to 2S Green Asian Cuisine with my mother for lunch.
The food was very good and portions were excellent. Prices were more than reasonable with double the amount of seafood/meat one would expect. Vegetables were cooked perfectly and presentation was excellent.
Restaurant was clean and well maintained.
The service was exceptional. Our server Stella (I asked her name as I wanted to mention it) was prompt, patient and helpful.
When I wanted recommendations, she asked briefly about our preferences, and gave excellent recommendations. She was attentive without being intrusive and possibly gave the best service I have had in years and usually I get good service.
Excellent value and I hope they do well.
Went here one evening with my folks hoping for the best. My dad is a super picky eater - and usually we can get him to go to one place once, but never again - but this place is now one of his top picks! We had a delicious meal, excellent service and really enjoyed ourselves. Such a treat to find a gem on the shore - and we thought the prices were quite reasonable. Had the spring rolls - not bad, but then we ordered lettuce wrap - veg (tasty tasty tasty), prawns with mixed veggies (super fresh and delicious), eggplant with basil (if you like eggplant this is phenom), green beans (omg amaazing)! If you haven't been, thinking about going - just do it!
Based on a recent I decided to give 2S a try. The location has been a tough one over the years, as numerous restless have come and gone. Hope 2S gains a foothold here as it's a nice addition to the neighborhood.
The menu is SE Asian, focussing mainly on Thai and Malaysian. I dined solo, so decided to try a combo meal, which consisted of a very freshly cooked vegetarian spring roll, a skewer of chicken satay, a green salad, beef rendang and a quite large bowl of rice, all on a single plate. The rendang was falling apart soft, very tasty and moderately spicy. It was also a very ample portion. Overall I would rate the food very good.
Service was prompt and very friendly.
Ambiance is good, the exterior of the building is quite nondescript, but once inside it's newly remodelled and quite pleasant.
I found 2S to be very solid value and plan on returning soon with my family.
I went here the other day because I have been driving by it forever. Finally decide to go in and have some lunch. I walked in and the decor is great, lots of booths and tables. The service was quick and very nice. I ordered off their lunch special menu, the panang curry w/chicken, it came with rice, spring roll and your choice of soup or salad. I chose the wonton soup. The soup had 3 wontons and they were great and the broth was tasty. I also ordered the roti appy. This was tasty as well. I ordered a fruit bubble tea, watermelon which was made of powder and was overly sweet but the pearls were great. My panang curry had lots of chicken and peppers, topped with crushed peanuts. The lunch combo was $7.50 roti $5 and the fruit bbt was $3.5. I could not finish my food so I wrapped it up to go. Still delicious a few hours later. They also do free delivery. Definitely recommended.
We have ordered delivery from this place a couple of times. Each time, the food has been tasty, hot and delivered quickly.
We've tried around 8-10 items and everything has been wonderful. Their portions are huge! Compared to other Asian restaurants on the Shore, 2S is probably one of the most authentic. They're prices are very reasonable as well.
On my last order, I had the mapo tofu, 2 side orders of rice, thai friend rice and red bean fried pastries. The mapo tofu lasted me one dinner and two lunches!!!
It's too bad these guys were around before. I had pretty much given up on asian fare on the North Shore until now.
There's a great new eaterie in the hood. The 2S Green asian restaurant is conveniently located on Marine Drive at the junction with Pemberton Avenue, with off-street parking at its front door. It is difficult choosing from the menu because it is such a good one. It includes all major Southeast Asian cuisines - Thai, Malay, Singaporean, Vietnamese and Chinese. Normally, I am sceptical about restaurants that do a range of cuisines but this one proved a winner in each 'department'. The server was an exceptionally pleasant and helpful lady. There were four of us and we ordered four dishes for sharing. We went with two of the server's recommendations - Thai Shredded Fish with Samba Sauce & Viet Lemon Grass Chicken Chop. To these we added Rendang Beef Curry and Eggplant with Basil Leaves. All four dishes were excellent with tinges of lemongrass, aniseed, chilli, etc. to give each a distinctive taste. We were given a free dessert comprising bits of banana and apple in a cold tapioca cocount juice which was tasty and refeshing - a perfect way to end the meal. This is part of the restaurant's Grand Opening promotion which includes a 10% discount on all food items which lasts until the end of August. The menu has almost 100 food items including all the popular Asian dishes such as Thai curries, Singapore noodles, Malay laksa and a host of Chinese favourites such as lemon chicken, BBQ pork, Kung Pow shrimp, ginger beef, etc. I shall definitely return to try all these other dishes. My friends and I have already made a date to return next week.
