The Waffle House is a family owned restaurant that is an integral part of Uptown New Westminster. The restaurant opened its doors in 1954.
The mystery has been solved new owners have taken over the place and sadly the difference is tragic and hard not to see.Now it is just another "place" delivering the standard fair no waffling about this.My wife ordered poached eggs and the waffles my 3 year old had the waffles.....i had the "special" oh yes ."eggs benny"probably the worst ever and the wait was also 'special".Now believe me im not a fussy eater I dont write reviews and I will eat anything......even as in this case if I regret it later. One thin slice of ham usually you get one on each english muffin. In this case the english muffins had no butter...maybe that was extra............... m the eggs were normal I think... but the hollandiase sauce was the weirdest color I have ever seen.pouch fair I assume.cheap yet effective.A waffle is a waffle lets be honest if you want to save money buy a waffle iron.
It is with great sadness I admit defeat goodbye "waffle house" hello "waffle PLACE".
Radio advertising works. I heard the ads and decided to visit the place.
Service: Adequate. Sometimes fast... other times lacking.
Taste: Hard to tell... couldn't taste much.
Price: Not really worth the price for the quantity or quality. It just didn't live up to the ads.
It's a place to go to for pie and coffee. I found the 'meals' to be anything but home-cooked. If they were home-cooked, I'm glad I was raised in my house, not theirs.
So, would I go back? Well... let's see... if I was hungry... if there were few to no other choices around and I was very close by, like outside the door and there was no line-up... maybe.
It's not on my target.
Had breakfast for the first time at the Waffle House and found the food to be so so. We ordered eggs benny and french toast. The eggs benny was below average and french toast just ok. Will most likely never go back.
Since starting work in burnaby/new west a year ago I would periodically stop in at the Wafflehouse for breaky before work. Everything was fine, decent service and food...
Until one day I was in the bathroom and watched as the waitress left without washing her hands. If she doesn't even wash her hands after doing her business who knows how else she handles food? Disgusting.
Emailed the manager, no reply. Doesn't seem to care to be losing someone who was becoming a repeat customer.
