Serving home style Chinese food.
DO NOT ORDER!
Not only did the food take over an hour to arrive, it came overdue and expired!
Completely not following the health regulations.
I thought I'd give it a try after reading mixed reviews myself, but now I know!
I'm warning those thinking about trying this the first time!
You don't want to jepardize your family's health.
Sick & Disgusted!
sometimes my wife craves chinese and I get her some here on the way home. OK.
I occasionally take out from here. The crispy ginger beef is absolutely her fayyyvaaarite. The service is Asian, but the restaurant is actually friendly but of course there is no stmosphere. The lemon chicken was good, not great. The rice is actually eatable and sticks together quite well which I find an important part of a meal although others would not. Overall, its my regular for chinese food! A wifes fav. and normally shes a picky eater!
OK. I love Chinese food. I have had a LOT of Chinese food. This was by far the most disgusting place I have ever ordered from, and I'm not talking I only eat chicken feet and 'authentic' dishes...I like some almond chicken and deep fried prawns once in awhile, as long as it's GOOD. This place had the WORST chow mein, that was so minimally 'cooked' it still smelled like the plastic bag the noodles had been taken out of. The sweet and sour pork that my husband usually loves from (Lee Yuen, Surrey), was laden with thick goopy disgusting sauce that had tiny minefields of 'meat' filled with gristle...ABSOLUTELY Repulsive! DO NOT eat here. Do not waste your money, go and get a burger from Wendy's. OR go get some GOOD Chinese food, from Flamingo House on Cambie, or Lee Yuen in Surrey. GROSS. Threw everything out. GARBAGE.
We just moved to the area, and are missing the multiple choices that we used to have for dinner in our old hood. We have eaten at New West Wonton House twice now and both times the food has been solid. It has your basic menu and the food is tasty without an excess of grease. We will continue to work our way through their menu.
Right on the corner of 12th and 5th with a small parking lot right out front, it's nice and accessible for those who are driving or walking.
As first time patrons we found this restaurant to be small but clean so we decided to give it a shot. The Chinese family that owns it were very quick and friendly. Once we decided what we were going to have (Shanghai Style Noodles, Curry Chicken, Veg Fried Rice, Onion Cake and Pot Stickers) eveything came out within a few minutes of eachother. All the dishes were excellent, the noodles were a bit greasy but then again they were fried noodles. And the total bill including tax came to just under $29.
Really impressed with the speed, taste and value we will be back! Also, take away was 10% off and they have free delivery for orders over $12.
Alright good to decent food cant complain the wonton soup was pretty plain considering its called a wonton house... My real beef was the delivery driver was rude guess he didn't like the $1.00 tip... Next time no tip. I suggest dinner for 2 and get 2 free eggrolls when spending over 20$. The bbq pork is also good plenty of items for me to try still peace.
