Hi Dozo offers a menu of sushi and Japanese cuisine for eat in or take out.
The girlfriend and I tried "Hi Dojo" on a lark and found it to be very good. The sushi was not rolled very tight but it was very fresh and delicious. The prices were very good compared to other sushi places we have tried in the Greater Vancouver area.
If you're looking for authentic Japanese food, this isn't the place. Staff are all Korean and not very welcoming. Service is adequate but that's about it. The "specials" written on the whiteboard as you enter the resturant are not very special; they are, in fact, just a few select items from the menu with no change in price (as you would expect from a "special"). A joke, really. Most of the menu items are overpriced.
We won't be back.
i went to this place since last year with my familly. i tried some cozy rolls such as dragon roll and tsunami roll.food was really great. just awesome place.all sushi and sashimi always fresh and udon soup is really good!!
i recommand this hi dojo sushi all the time~i think this place is best one in newwestminster
I've eaten at Hi Dozo at least a dozen times now. The food is tasty and well presented, the decor is good, the staff professional, and the prices are ok. The one big thing that turns me off completely is the smell. I don't know what they are cooking in there that makes this place smell the way it does. Maybe they need to wipe the walls or something...
