The atmosphere inside is actually quite relaxed and suits all kinds of folks - Family/child friendly, great for group meals, romantic evenings, casual drop-ins.. etc. Open later than anything else in New West. The service is attentive and exceptionally polite, though a bit rushed and scattered when the dining room gets busy. Happens.
Ambiance is slowly but steadily improving. And the new owners evidently are putting in a lot of work to improve the dining experience of the patrons.
Value is just unreal + ALWAYS very delicious meals.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to eat like a king on a budget.
The food is good - not incredibly special, but solid. Flavorful and satisfying. Nice selection, and they tend to tweak your order if you ask.
Delivery is great - quick and great staff. Never rude.
The prices are a bit up there but not too bad. Can't say I feel cheated.

After several Greek friends of mine recommended this place for authentic Greek food that won't burn a hole in your wallet, my hubby and I decided to check it out.
It's not much for looks on the outside, but the service is great and the food is delicious. The taste was very clean and fresh and the fried foods weren't soaked in oil. The lamb was perfectly done, juicy yet tender, and infused with flavour. The moussaka was amazing, and the spanakopita was light and crisp.
The server was pleasant with a sense of humour. A very enjoyable evening over-all.
I recently went to Golphis in New Westminster with a group of ladies and fhe food was decent.
I had left overs and asked to take it home. When I opened the package to warm up the lamb I was looking forward to there was only rice in there. This dish was expensive for me as I am on a disability cheque and the tip was what I could afford. Someone removed the meat and I was left with rice. After what I consider an expensive dinner I should have got what I wanted to take home. I was very disappointed to find that all I got was rice and no lamb that I had looked forward to having at home.
This made me very angry and I feel cheated.
I won't be coming back and neither will anyone I know after I tell them what these people pulled.
I have ordered pizza from this restaurant for years. My favorite is mushroom and ham. But about a year ago they changed the ham and it now looks like some unknown processed meat. Subsequently I don't order from them anymore. But I also sometime ago I use to order steak and lobster delivered and it was really good. But I just have stayed away since the ham situation.
This place is a bit of a hole in the wall, you have to climb up stairs and the place on the outside looks a bit like a dive. On the inside it looks a bit like a greek villa, with nothing too special or amazing about it. Its ambiance is usually quiet and intimate and the views from the window seats are generally decent.
What definetely makes this place a gem is the prices, they are decent for the amount of food you get, and the dishes are really good. The greek and italian varieties are excellent, and the service is decent as well. I was really impreseed with the ceasar salad, the homemade dressing is delicious. The chicken or veal parmigana is so much food I was unable to finish it, and my bf had no hope of helping me.
The take out and delivery options are good as well and I ve never had a miss with this restaurant, its always a hit. I'd recommend it for a smaller restaurant and a cozy feeling with great mid priced italian or greek food.
