Boston Pizza offers a casual dining atmosphere with over 100 menu items including a selection of pizzas, pastas and a wide variety of appetizers, meal-sized salads, entrees and desserts.
I have been looking for some cheap Mediterranean food in New West area, and I tried Boston Pizza based upon reviews from people at work stating that it is cheap and renovated. It was to take my wife and try to reconcile following some recent issues and problems. Well it was more expensive than anticipated and the kidz running around did not help, but it was an attempt to salvage a relationship. I tried Chicken Pizza and was definitely disappointed. The combination of the chicken, pineapple, and marinating sauce was phat. The manager introduced herself to me, and was nothing to look at which I wanted to tell her, along with her waitresses, but not with my wife being there. So I withheld my honesty. I will not be back.
Took my family here for dinner; in retrospect, not a good idea. The pizza (a Boston Royale) was bland with hardly any cheese and raw green peppers. The bread twists were nothing special. Service was prompt and efficient, but I'll likely never eat at a Boston Pizza again. There's much better pizza out there at comparable prices.
This location and other Boston Pizza locations provide consistent Boston Pizza food. It appears that the portions are small and the food greasy in an intentional attempt to fill people up who pay above average prices for pizza.
The food itself is edible and the service has been decent. The good thing is that if you go to one Boston Pizza you've been to them all. Can't understand why some people frequent this place - a friend of mine considers this chain restaurant a favorite of hers - for me it is bland, overpriced, greasy food and would not if it were my decision. Too many other interesting places to go in Vancouver!
Came in post renovations, the place looks great, service was great. boston pizza is boston pizza you know what to expect food wise as far as chains go. a little comment for those complaining the food was " greasy" well yes when you order a pizza with baked cheese and meat, and deep fried foods of course they are going to be greasy!
I went for lunch with my girlfriend last week. I got an orange "smoothie" which was orange syrup milk and ice.. it was just wrong i asked her why it wasnt blended when the menu clearly said blended, she said this is how they do it but she would blend it for me. My friend ordered soup to start and after about 15 minutes we asked her for it. so then she brought the soup and clearly had forgot because our food was cold when we got it. i think she wanted to let her finish her soup. we both sent back our food cuz it was cold, and it came back just as bad. my pizza was again - not hot, and my friends fries had clearly just been thrown back in the deep fryer as they were soggy. I ate one piece of the pizza didnt take it hope and still got it on the bill. Wonderfull.....i work in the industry and will NEVER go to boston pizza again.
My wife and I enjoy Boston Pizza's. We continue to find the food great, as well as a good selection. We stopped at this one three or four times this year. The first time with my three grandkids. I was so inpressed with the service staff that we have continued to eat at this Boston pizza. We are finding the food is consistantly good, I love their pizza. We always end up decussing how great the service is.
not too big.. but you could say theyre tasty
some of their pizza is extremely cheessy.
they got some other suff to try such as pasta
and fusion? appetizer.
i like their chinese,.. some kind of fusion
deepfried sweet beef. very good for an appetizer.
when i tried their pasta about a week ago
it wasnt that great... so.....ya
but overall, their food is good~
Typical Boston Pizza...the food was no better or no worse then any other Boston Pizza in the lower mainland...waiter was really nice...always had our drinks filled....came by frequently to see if we needed anything...
I'm not really a huge fan of the chain restaurants such as Red Robin, Hurls (oops Earls), or Milestones, but Boston Pizza is a slight step up on most of them. Their pizza is pretty good, the service is friendlier than most, and the value is much better than other places such as Milestones. Still, it's a chain restaurant and I'd rather go to a local place.
Pretty standard Boston pizza chain food. Nothing special, but its not going to poison you either. Service is mediocre at best, but more normally indifferent to poor. An irritation to me is the insistance on having every single television in the place (and there are at least 15 of them) on the Canucks game if they're playing, no matter what other teams are on. On a recent visit when the Lions were on, and the World Series was also on, the staff refused to change a single television off the Canucks game. Since the corporate ads pitch the place as somewhere to watch sports, this strikes me as a little bizarre. I walked, went to the neighborhood pub, and enjoyed myself far more.
We arrived at this location at 11:00 am on a sunday morning.
As we were being seated, there was a large group of loud speaking oriental patrons with children in the same section. And as they were not concerned about any other patrons wanting to have a quiet sunday lunch, we asked if we could sit at another section as there was only the two of us.
I could overhear the Manager say that they weren't going to open the rest of the restaurant for only two people.
We thought we would save them the trouble of providing any service to us and we left.
If the Manager could have kept her comment to herself, I might have had a boston pizza for lunch.
We do like the food at at Boston Pizza and this location, well, it is what one would excpect from a chain. I simply have issues with the high pricing of Boston Pizza and at times the choice of music they have cranked far to loud.
We had lunch here, with the place under new management, effective October 1st.
They were organized like a train wreck, even with very few customers. Slow service, coffee was colored water. New owners tripping over each other and basically getting in the way of the servers. They will have to do better before we return.
l was there on Saturday June 28, 2008. l read their menu and saw what was in the "Citrus Salad" l had ordered. When it arrived to my table l shared with some of my friends. We had also ordered some pizza and nachos. Well by the time we started in to my salad... l noticed their wasnt any mandarin oranges slices as they claim there should be.
l notified our waitress and informed her and she replied...."oh l'm sorry l guess they don't know how to make salads back there"
By the time we finished our dinner...their Mgt. to come to us and apologize and to add insult... they charged me for the entire salad as priced. Not even a complimentary drink.
If l were Mgt... l would train their staff as to the meaning....
"If it aint right...make it right!!" By the way...Citrus salad had way too much lime dressing my liking!
It's Boston Pizza... the same as everywhere else. Yes it costs a bundle to have one of their pizzas... and yes you can buy Dellisio for 1/3 of the price. But the same can be said of steak too, right?
As it happens I find their tomato sauce (which makes the pizza btw) to be best of all and I happen to love anchovies and they've got 'em and bake 'em right on there.
The service (take-out or eat-in) is not 5 star by any means but the pizzas are tasty.
Would I repeat? Yup.
We have eaten at a few Boston Pizzas and would rate the majority as just average. The New West location was wonderful for service, courtesy and attentiveness. However, the food was greasy and almost unedible. We had 3 different pizzas and all were so greasy even I, a pizza fanatic, couldn't eat much. We will not go back to this location to even try again...
I still am stuck on an experience that I had several years ago. I was pouring ketchup and a couple of broken crayons fell out of the bottle. The server did not seem to care. Life presents greater challenges, I know, but I cannot get this crayon out of my mind.
Pizza is ok, but everything else seems to battle with being over or undercooked.
I have returned to Boston Pizza’s on occasion, but only because they are open late.
Food is overpriced when compared to other similar restaurants. Families looking for a chain could do better at White Spot or Me N’ Eds Pizza. Bring back Fogg n’ Suds!
People watching a game should just go to a pub or save the money and order in if they do not feel like cooking.
Great place.......great food.....try it! You won't regret! Although if you want to have a party, you shouldn't have it here because they serve you very little! They also have hockey jerseys when you enter the restaurant for hocky lovers! You can also watch the Canucks game on the tv they have there.....the service is very quick because the last time I've been there the waitress got us a table within 10 seconds! Try it yourself! You should really have a pizza or something cuz their pizzas are made 100% fresh right from the oven!
