after reading a post on my friend's food blog, 604 foodotgraphy, i just had to try out this place for its 10 cent wings on weds. 10 cent wings? you can't go wrong with that!
there were an amazing 9 different flavours to choose from ranging from spicy thai to the usual salt and pepper. loved how the website had its menu up as well, a good sign already.
the place is a bit grungy looking, located just outside of the new westminster skytrain station but it was definitely packed at 8pm on a weds night. we sat ourselves down and were served prompty. my friend and i ordered about 48 wings between us (minimum 12 wing order) which came out to a ridiculous price of $4.80 between two people. of course, you had to order a drink with it as well but this was great value.
the wings were nice and juicy - i feared that they would've skimped on the quality of the chicken wings, but they were definitely comparable to flying beaver in richmond for its size. highly recommend this place, will go back again.
I went there with a group of friends on a Sunday evening about one hour before closing. There were some people on the patio but no one inside. The staff was very friendly and attentive but the place smelled a little funny and was littered with fruit flies everywhere from around the bar to in the bathroom. YUCK! The guys outside were mean mugging us the whole time that we were there so we decided to leave. A shame really.
