this place is just ok, food used to be awesome many years ago, just other day I went there with bunch of friends and had the worst experience, food tasted bad and stale, halwa they serve as a sweet dish wasn't cooked properly ! staff was rude and the entrance of the restaurant was messy to get in as there were news papers scattered everywhere!!
This place is horrible, every time I go there is its jam packed with long lines waiting to place the order, Manager there I think her name is Sunita is rude and unkindly. She had just one cashier on the counter with 50 people waiting on the line so I asked the manager why on earth she is making one person do the job of three cashiers, she got really upset at me, freaking rude manager, why do people go to fast food chains to have their food served faster, not to wait for hours?? I hope she isn’t exploiting this one old lady to do the job of 4 people!!
If you are looking for a cozy dining and awesome food , then
This is the right choice, great Indian food at very reasonable
Pricing , their chicken 65 , yoga chicken and biryani is to die
For , I'll definitely go their again , my fiancée ordered lamb chops
And chicken tikka and she loved it and is already a big fan of
Their food ! Highly recommend !!
I've been to this newly opened restaurant ! Wow I can't forget the taste of chicken65 and biryani!!! Never had this kind of flavorful food anywhere in GTA, restaurants with quality foods seems to be rare and definitely this is one of them , I will go their soon! Iam a big fan of their food now :) will go their soon with my family
Its worth the time and money. Went to so good with my wife, as always the food was excellent. I have never had a dish there that was not excellent. However the place looks nice, quite elegant without overdoing it, still good for casual dressing. Prices are reasonable and while maintain the quality.
I have been going here for a while to get lunch, I always have to take it to-go as I do not have enough time to sit in but the seating area looks very inviting. I usually get the wraps, either Tuna, or Brie and Avocado, they have added a new vegetarian item which had hummus and olives which was delicious. I have mentioned to the Chef about adding more vegetarian options and he said he will look into this as he has been quite a few requests (maybe that was why they added the hummus and olives wrap). the service is always great, they always say Hello when you enter and ask about your day. I find Adobo Café great value for money, they wraps and Panini's are always stuffed full and the hot special always comes in a generous portion, I have never been hungry after eating lunch here.
Fifteen minutes after I sat down, a teenage boy with long, greasy hair finally arrived to take my order. I began with the diner's trademark "pizza burger" that had intrigued me enough to draw me to the restaurant in the first place. I also ordered few sides and dessert instructing my server to bring my dessert out last, after I finished my meal.
After another 25 minutes passed, my food arrived—including my dessert. I had already begun to expect as much, especially considering the fact that, in the 40 minutes I had been there thus far, the only other customers I had spotted were the original two patrons I saw when I first came. I decided to give the hasty waiter one final chance to redeem himself by asking him about what exactly made the pizza burger so special. The information on the menu had been sparse at best and provided me with no clues. My server simply shrugged his shoulders and replied, “It’s just a burger,” before shuffling back off to the kitchen.
I do not recommend this location at all.
Wang's Kitchen is my favorite restaurant for several years. They are simply the best. Food quality and quantity is consistent. I saw various newly added food choices which i have been waiting for since few years. Some of those new things i tried already. Spicy Basil mixed rice, Lettuce wrap- chicken, Wasabi prawn, Mixed Veg in pepper sauce, Wang's Shredded Lamb. Me and my colleagues all luv their food. . New menu looks simplified and easy to order online. The best part of Wang's is online orders,, I frequently do online takeout orders and get 10 % discount plus their take out Loyalty card is awesome. Ask for it ... Visit 9 time for takeout more than $ 20 in single purchase and get 1 stamp on each visit. 10th visit takeout equivalent $ 25.00 food is ABSOLUTELY FREEE..
Me and my friends are great fan of their weekday $ 5.00 takeout specials... TRY ONCE it worth than any other Burgers or Pizza....
Best Hakka place so far i found in my city... Will visit again..HAKKA LOVERS MUST TRY THEIR FLAVORFUL FOOD.
There was a lady behind the counter yelling at everyone (customers included)
freaked out about there not being any egg whites.
Not a single smile or thank you.
The staff told me i had to leave after sitting for 20 minutes with my coffee. The restaurant was nearly empty. Why is there a time limit?
Wow! These ladies here have no personality whatsoever. I was chatting with a coworker in line and i didnt notice i had been summoned by the cashier. She then very loudly and rudely said"do you want something or not?"
I said yes and ordered my coffee. She then rolled her eyes and made the coffee. Didnt stir it and the cup was soakrd on the outside since she spilled it while pouring. When i asked for a another cup she huffed and puffed and threw the coffee into the sink and made another while grumbling. The other ladies were no better. No smiles, no thank yous no nothing!
Tim Hortons, RESTAFF THIS PLACE!!!
The lineup was long but goes by fast. Ordered a egg white breakfast sand which and clearly saw my order on the screen. I took 2 bites of sand which when I realized it wasn't egg white. Lady gave me attitude for "almost finishing sand which" and was rudely made another one. Definetly should have spoke with supervisor about the lady who messed up my order and made me feel bad about it! So much for customer service!
I Wanted to try something new, so I chose this place in Erin mills. The Chicken shawarma was excellent with the lentil soup and full of flavour. the workers were very nice and helpful, they were even willing to work a little off the menu to serve us best. I would go again and recommend this to all my friends. Thanks!
I enjoy coming here a lot with my family, theyre open great hours and everything they serve is made in store, thyere beef shawarma is all steak, and the hummus is to die for just to name a few things, please add this place to your regular spots, you will not be dissapointed you did :)
I ordered a beef souvlaki and this arrogant server gave me a beef scrap of shawarma and chicken scrap of shawarma for a full price of beef souvlaki dinner.. I asked if I can replace sd no we dont have beef souvlaki and refused to take it back....I feel as a customer you shouldnt be given a scrap of food....
Had food several times..Everyone loves the food! Also is cheap eats! Had the recommended dishes as they know what's popular. Would recommend the same to anyone as well. Five stars $$$$$.. great value, very clean, great atmosphere, will follow this chef as he is very talented in kitchen!
Authentic, affordable, fresh and delicious Polish cuisine!
Updated, comfortable atmosphere and decor.
I would highly recommend this place for socializing, great food and for private functions (40 and less ppl).
Great owner, willing to customize private function requirements as needed - pleasure to deal with!
I love the place, will definitely go back there time and time again!
They served us disgusting and stale bihari kabob and owner as well as server refused to accept until people on other tables cimplained about the same (THEY STILL CHARGED US FOR THE DISH ). It used to be a good place but has gone worse over time. Minimal decor, poor toilets, untrained servers... owners want to fleece anyone who dares step in. I had stopped going there because of an earlier incident where they charged my debit card twice and owners refused to refund even after showing him bank receipts, but it looks like its the same old thing here. Like most restaurants serving south asian community, these people get away with pathetic service. I`d urge Mississauga food inspection services to visit kitchen in near future to save poor customers!
A few friends and I, looking for a hookah bar in central Mississauga, opted to visit El Fishawy. Boy, was this ever a mistake. I wish I'd read reviews on this place prior to showing up there last night. We waited at the door to be seated, as is the norm, for about 15-20 minutes. We were ignored. No staff came up to us to tell us about wait times. That's okay, right? Well, it would have been had that been the extent of the rude behaviour. Caucasian customers and those of Arab descent would show up behind us and be immediately allowed in and seated. What is this, the 1960s in Alabama? How can an establishment in Canada, in 2013, continue to remain open when they discriminate based on ethnicity on a regular basis?
(FYI: My experience wasn't an isolated incident. Please refer to reviews on other sites such as UrbanSpoon to read more on racist experiences at this hookah bar.)
We were denied service on the basis of our skin colour. It's as simple as that. When we politely approached the staff to ask when and if we could be seated, the server, without even bothering to make eye contact, told us to step behind the door and rudely asked, 'can't you see there's no space?' Appalled at the way we had just been spoken to (this has never happened to me before. I'm South Asian and never in my entire life have I been treat like this, by anyone), we decided to leave. This place certainly did not deserve our business.
Make no mistake, if you are a person of colour, please decide against going to this establishment. Their attitudes seem to be stuck in the Middle East where the sub-par treatment of ethnic minorities is the norm. It is NOT okay to engage in blatant discrimination in Canada. Perhaps they didn't get this memo.
Terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble.
Just to preface that I specifically created an account just to voice my
displeasure with the management. I don't like to give good/bad reviews as
people should judge for themselves, however I think I will start from now on.
We had a coupon from the Entertainment book and chose this restaurant over a
few others in an effort to try a new place which will become a regular. We
walk in and the place had 4-6 people in the bar, around the same on the patio
and in the main dining room there was not a diner in sight. This should have
set off alarm bells however we have been to places near empty at first and get
busy later, and regardless we judge on the food & service anyways. (We
regularly come to Catz fish and chips next door however it is a different name
If you are not familiar, the Entertainment book is where the restaurant
themselves have a coupon for 'xx' dollars off a purchase of any 2 lunch or
dinner (almost 2 for 1 depending on what you order). This usually excludes
apps and specials. In the case of this place, it was up to $25 with purchase
of another dinner. We find this is an excellent way to try or 'test' new
places while seeing how they handle their own coupon, etc and hopefully find
We usually order drinks (non-alcoholic) 2 dinners and some apps and maybe a
dessert if there is room, so it is not as if we just go in ordering water and
just dinner and run. Waitress confirmed it was anything on the menu
excluding the apps which is understandable.
Service by waitress was quick and we were eating in no-time. We had 2 orders
of ordered 16 wings, an onion ring basket. mozza sticks and some pop.
Onion rings were good, mozza was not worth it, however the wings were
surprisingly large and meaty with good sauce coverage. We regularly visit
Buffalo Wings and we actually found this a bit better. So we thought we may
have found a good new regular place for wings.
The dining room remained empty throughout our dinner although a few people
came into the bar area. Maybe this place gets busy later, however for a prime
time Saturday night, this was puzzling and it should have been a warning. It
felt like we had rented the whole dining area for the night, which was not
half bad, being peaceful and quiet dinner.
So come time to pay, the waitress informs us that her manager notes that this
coupon is not valid on wings and is intended to be for other items such as
This is the Discount Description:
Enjoy one complimentary LUNCH OR DINNER ENTREE when a second LUNCH OR DINNER
ENTREE of equal or greater value is purchased - maximum discount $25.00
We asked our waitress if she could check again to see if they could do
anything and she returned and mentioned that their manager was nice enough to
take both apps off the bill.
We have used Entertainment coupons everywhere for MANY years and this is the
first place where we have encountered resistance to THEIR OWN COUPON.
Being a long day we just accepted and mumbled, grumbled and left, vowing to
never ever come back due to the way we were treated even though the food was
A Saturday night... near empty.... poor waitress and collecting tips for the
night.... 2 potential new repeat customers trying a new place and getting
resistance in using their own coupon by the rules.
I realize we have a 'coupon' and we do not drink alcohol, however if you do
not want to honour YOUR OWN COUPON properly, than maybe DO NOT OFFER A COUPON.
(Also, do not think we are cheap, as we dropped hundreds on a meal a few
weeks ago at a high end sushi joint ('Ja Bistro' downtown) and service/food
was impeccable.). If you do not appreciate new customers and my new money,
than I will thankfully after this visit, never give you another cent ever.
To top it off as we were driving away, we spotted a family of 4 peaking
through the window and stopped and went next door to Tim Hortons, which is
what we should have done in hindsight.
Nirvana the Flavors of India catered my wedding reception (a Punjabi wedding for 550 people) at the end of June 2013. Unfortunately, they were the only vendor hired during my 1 week long wedding who caused problems for us and did not do what was expected. They did not bring enough food to feed our guests, did not serve finger foods as we agreed upon, forgot a couple of a dishes in our contract (which they emailed us) and did not serve dinner and appetizers at the times and duration we discussed with them. They also did not check when trays were empty, leaving both rice and naan empty for long time (even though family members continued to remind them that they were empty). My mother and uncle had to continue to remind the chefs when we wanted dinner served and when dishes were empty and how to speed up their cooking time to keep up (ie. pouring 1 gulab jaman at a time in a large dish is not fast enough - not to worrk my mother showed them how to pick up the pace!). The worst part for me was that my parents spent so much money on this wedding and Nirvana caused my mom especially to be stressed out during the weddind reception and missed a lot of it because she had to deal with the Nirvana staff (which was also short staffed) and tell them how to fix the problems they created. She was also running up and downstairs but the staff complained that they didnt want to have to keep going up and downstairs (to check food and refill trays) so my mom was forced to do it for them since she wanted to ensure there was atleast something for some guests to start eating.
Upon a meeting with the owner and key staff after the event, the owner (who is not often involved in the managing of the restaurant) did apologize and take responsibility. However, the manager (Karan) and chefs who were responsible for our event did not apologize and were quite rude and did attempt to deflect blame. Nor did we ever get a good explanation from anyone of why they did not meet to plan and organize the food for our event as they claim they do for others - especially since the manager (who is in charge and says he works 7 days a week) kept his eyes down and did not speak much during the meeting.
Not sure why there was a lack of service and professionalism but my family has thrown many parties in the past and were very embarrassed that at my own reception some of our guests did not have food to eat. I hope this helps and is a word of caution before having Nirvana The Flavors of India cater an event for you.
