Wild Ginger boasts a varied menu of all you can eat Japanese Teppanyaki, sushi, Hakka Chinese,Thai and much more.
So Disappointed. Two weeks ago any review I would have made for Wild Ginger would have been a glowing one. I loved their service, and the food was always delicious.
We used to eat at Asian Wok N Roll next door because it was the closest restaurant to our offices, until Wild Ginger opened and we tried it. The food is a million times better at Wild Ginger.
At Wild Ginger all of their food was prepared fresh while Wok N Roll's food was mediocre. Every dish at Wild Ginger was flavourful and presented nicely, the portions were better. Wok N Roll just gives you a container of rice with a little bit of 'chicken' on top (or whatever meat you ordered).
The quality of the meat was better at Wild Ginger, their sauces tasted better and the chicken was never overloaded with sauce.
Wild Ginger had delicious crisp vegetable in their dishes which was awesome compared to Wok N Roll's limp slimy veggies.
Every week 7-8 of our staff got take-out at least once a week, usually more, now that will be changing.
Today I called and ordered as usual, the person who answered the phone was different but didn't mention anything to me about any changes.
When I got to Wild Ginger there were signs on their door saying they were under renovations and were operating out of Wok N Roll next door...ok... so I go there and pay for the food (Three meals and Sushi). First they did not have the wonton soup I ordered, they didn't tell me that when I called either. Then I get back to the office and while the meals are the correct type, they are all clearly Wok N Roll food. Disgusting. My dish isn't even worth eating.
I was upset and called back and I spoke to whoever answered the phone, told them I ordered Wild Ginger, not Wok N Roll. She told me that they are now operating as one restaurant and that the food will be Wok N Roll food from now on.
So that ends our company's lunches to Wild Ginger.
We are so disappointed, we had switched to Wild Ginger from Wok N Roll because the food was so much better, and now we need to find another place for our business.
I did absolutely love the food. Was a great experience. Not sure it was worth $50 for two people but I am glad I can cross it off my list. Atmosphere is that of any cheap sushi restaurant. would recommend anybody going to request the bar. Watching the food being made will perhaps enhance the experience.
