Most unsatisfactory experience!

Have not been to a Kelsey's restaurant in about 8 years. It will be much longer before I try THAT again.

2 stars for service (new server it seems).
1 star for food.
ZERO stars for management and response for poor food delivered. Bottom Line: DO NOT ORDER THE STEAK and if you get poor food - be prepared for a poor response when you ask for rectification.

The appetizer (4 cheese & spinach) was ok. This was my favourite when I had last gone to Kelsey's. This time it was served warm (not hot) but not very well presented. Taste was good but it looked like it had been thrown on the plate.

Ordered the "Bacon & Goat Cheese Sirloin" steak dinner. Advertised to be "AAA sirloin topped with bacon, goat cheese & gravy". It took a long time for both the appetizer to arrive, then another long time for the main (about 5 minutes after the other non-steak dinners at our table were served).

When it arrived, my first cut of the steak showed it to be cooked to my order (medium rare) but the gravy and the bacon were barely room temperature (slightly off cool). I explained to our server and asked her to address this as it was inedible.

When she came back 5-7 minutes later, i recognized my plate as the same one I had sent back to the kitchen.

I noticed more gravy on the plate but it was the same steak (the piece where I had cut originally still showing). It appears they just added more barely warm gravy on top (maybe lukewarm this time - still not edible). All this for $26!

I explained to the server this was unacceptable. I choose to request they change my order to a regular sirloin without gravy.

3rd time...the steak dinner arrived after the other meals at our table had been eaten. To my utter dismay it was a tough cut, served medium (not medium rare) and tasted beyond bland.

Another person at our table had also ordered steak. The first time it came over cooked and the 2nd time it came back he too commented it was a poor tasting steak.

I asked our server to speak with the manager and explain the situation...that I would not be eating my meal (other than the veggies as these were warm+ and I needed to eat something at this point). The steak was poor quality and with it being the 3rd round - I'd had enough.

Their "solution" was to remove the steak dinner (I did not eat) from my bill.

The manager never apologized himself (my server did write on the bill for my appetizer and drink). For someone who eats out often, this is the first time I have had such a poor response to such significant dissatisfaction.
