Was a little skeptical at first with it being under new management but been back twice and both times now the dining experiences have been fantastic!
They still have yummy specials in the Bistro lounge & the prime rib with Yorkshire pudding is to die for! On special on a Sunday night yet. The schnitzel is as moist and tender as ever, huge portions too. Extensive menu selection makes deciding on a meal a bit of a challenge. Top notch service and pleasant ambiance. Would definitely recommend.
Have gone here a few times hoping the food would be better 'next time' but not so lucky. The food is bland and tasteless & the barbecue sauce is just plain awful. Dark and bitter, Not good at all. The schnitzel was dry and flavorless!
I would say this is quite possibly the worst Greek food in Maple Ridge. With a such a limited menu selection, there are far more pleasurable dining experiences to be had within a few blocks of this place. Go elsewhere! Bar has very limited choices of liquors and the bartender didn't have a clue what she was doing.
Ambiance?? Service is average at best . Don't waste your time or $$ Sorry, will not be back.
Its be many years since I have to to Electra and it will be many more until I go back. When I order take out I expect my order to be complete, not missing items. If they are going to get orders right they should put a drive thru window in and compete with A & W.
I wish I could say more but I honestly didn't want to waste too much time. Want to let me fellow diners that this is not the place to go. I really hope that it was just an off night but where do I start. Horrible service...waited about 10 minutes to have someone say something to us...finally got our drinks after another 10-15minutes and they were BOTH WRONG!!! What can I say we had the food it really wasn't anything special. It took about 30 minutes to get out to us but I guess that was fine since we finally had our drinks after she switched them for the right ones. Long story short...terrible experience...try it out if you dare but don't you were warned. Really wanted this place to change with the new ownership. Not sure what happened cause Mission Springs kicks a**.
Not too sure...and a little scared why there is only 1 review on this place, but went there this morning for breakfast. Totally awesome service!!! The lady (can't remember her name unfortunately) looked like she has been service customers of Maple Ridge for a while now and she had it down to a T. Super smiles right from the start on the coffee and drinks the whole time we were there. We were able to get a corner seat, good thing since my nephew was screaming at the top of his lungs. That didn't stop the service being amazing and the fact that we were there for almost 2 hrs! She kept on coming around to ask us if we wanted any top up on the coffee's and juice/water for the kid. The food wasn't anything special but I definitely had to speak to the service. Totally surprised. To be honest we were going to go to Home Rest. beside it but its was too busy :s but im glad we changed our direction. Place is totally worth it. Hopefully the other staff there were as good as her. Quality/Quantity of food on par with all other places in Maple Ridge.
Had delivery tonight for the first time from these guys. I've had the food many times before but this was the first time trying out the service. Food was fantastic as usual although I could tell it had been sitting for at least 20 or so minutes, but its delivery. I guess that's expected. Driver was a little grumpy and short with me, but staff at the store over the phone very helpful. I've satisfied the craving and had to share. Good job Wok Box! Check out my other review of this breakfast joint from yesterday morning.
A group of us couples went to the Keg at 6:15 to secure a table for a 7:00 diner. We were told that it would be max 30 minute wait and that we should wait at the bar next door as there is not enough room to accomodate all of us at the lounge and wait inside the restaurant. We sat for one hour 45 min in the bar next door with other restaurant patrons as depicted by their beeper disc that calls you when your table is ready running up a nice tab until we decided to go and wait inside the retaurant and demand a table which is what we did and got a table. When we finally got seated and our meals were served my steak was a grissly chew toy and crab legs were cold from being thawed out they were definitely not fresh.
The Kegs food prices are by far not economical as well as the drinks but one should get a fair meal for a fair price but this is definitely not the case here. I eat at restaurants 3-4 nights a week including the Keg where I live but this Keg is way off the mark and should consider changing the way it does business. I would also like to say that I have never complained ever written a review about anything but this this place really needs one written so that things canbe corrected.
First off I got in and sat down and when proceeding to order I requested one thing that I have requested at 4 other sushi places in the last week and all but this one were more than willing to accommodate. That was my first disappointment. After placing my order I watched the waitress and the cook gossip for a few minutes in their own language. Once receiving my food I was disappointed to see how terribly the tuna was dissected of the bad parts only to bite into my rolls and find something hard that I had I spit out and never did figure out what it was. The rolls were poorly made and the nigiri fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I am disappointed to even pay for this meal and am rather surprised that anyone considers this good sushi. Of 5 places in maple ridge this was the worst and will never come here again.
I found this place to have good food, good service and reasonable prices however it was very loud which doesn't make for a very relaxing lunch. The fish was fresh and the pieces were very large. Too large actually. I had to split my nigiri peices in half in order to eat them.
Started buying Sopranos pizza and couldn't be happier with the quality of the food. I got the supreme Hawaiian and it was LOADED with pineapples, bacon and ham! So good, even down to the crust. It's making me drool just thinking about it! The delivery service was pretty quick even though they seemed quite busy, pizza was hot and fresh. At first this place seemed a bit expensive but considering the deliciousness of the food it was worth every cent. *****5/5*****
Every time that we go through drive thru we are always missing something. We asked for a salad, but we never got a fork, so we couldn't eat it. They'll give us drinks and straws are missing. We got drinks and fries half full. My kid is also missing toys or the yogurt in the happy meal. We asked for a girls toy and they give us a boy toy. We have waited one time 10 minutes to order. Another time, we ordered and the guy asked us to pull to the window, it was taking so long for the line to move. When we got to the window, the guy asked me for my order again. I have also gone inside the restaurant. Service is super slow. Sometimes people are waiting and the employees are socializing behind the counter. They finally acknowledge people after a few minutes. They almost seem to be waiting to see who is going to do some work first. Unfortunately, this is the only McDonalds close to my place.
There are soooo many sushi restaurants in Maple Ridge... honestly, this town needs more variety. But, sushi is pretty good. This is one of my favourite go-to restaurants for sushi. Last time I was here I had the Umibe roll... really yummy! The service was good, for a big party of about 6 we didn't wait long at all. I love how at the end of the meal they give you free ice cream... they used to offer it up front but now you have to ask. But still, free ice cream is always good, and worth asking for! =)
We were a group of 12 and there for a birthday party. We arrived at 6:30 and were offered drinks which took 15 minutes to get and it was a hit and miss if we got more drinks anytime soon after that. We had to ask a waitress and I say "a waitress" as we had no clue who our waitress was. It took them an hour to take our order and when our order was finally taken, it took another hour to get the food. So by the time we arrived and received even an appetizer was 8:40...so 2 hrs, 10 mins. We were a minute away from leaving and we were talking about going back to one of the parties house just to order pizza. We had one girl at our table who is diabetic and had her insulin out ready to take it as we were not even offered bread or anything to tie us over till some food came. It was truly unreal brutal service. I have never went on a website like this before to complain as everyone has an off night. This wasn't an off night it was just plain unorganized, brutal service. The restaurant was decorated in greek style, a bit tacky but I get the point...its a greek place.
I do have to admit, when the food finally did show up....it was awesome, but was it worth the 2 hour wait...nope. My boyfriend who is a quiet guy and isn't one to cause any problems was even complaining. When we asked the waitress where our food was she really didn't have an answer except they usually have 4 cooks on but only have 2. If we would have known there was issues that evening, we would have left and went somewhere else. In the grand scheme of things, there are more things in the world to be upset about but I really felt the need to say, in my 46 years of life, this was on the top of my list (and I have travelled a lot) as the worst, rude and uncaring service I have ever experienced. I would like to add...I am a very good tipper ,as I appreciate how hard waitresses do work, as I use to be one. Our meal came to 98.00 and we never tipped a penny. Did I feel bad....not one bit. I will never recommend or go to this place again. I will make sure I go back to Galinis in Langley....now thats a greek restauarant with terrific service and even better food.
great food great service they knew we were new and made some recomendations and we took them and were very satisfied!! great taste big portions as well for $10.99 for the full order so we will be back again! lots of selection for food and even had plenty to take home for left overs.
Took the family to Electra couple of weeks ago for dinner. Had never been there since the reno so was interested in finding out how it has changed. Not changed enough!! Bathroom is super dirty and that only hints to me what the kitchen is like. My Steak was over done and the server argued with me that it was done medium as i wanted which it was absolutely burnt to a crisp and dry. My boys found a large hair in their pizza under the cheese and she said it looked like mine! Really! the nerve!! My stomach is still turning from this experience. I will not go back ever!
Worst customer experience I've had in a long time. Took over 3 phone calls to reach the restaurant, followed by a questionable 'hello?'. Did I call the right number?!?
And what Indian Cuisine doesn't have Samosas?!? And other popular Indian dishes.
I will not be giving my business to this restaurant again.
I was frequent goer to Foxs, used to be a great local pub. Servers were great & the best nachos in my books.. PAST TENSE now. New owner in and has changed staff as well as food quality. The nachos I used to love are crap in fact very salty!! Owner refused to acknowledge my complaint & didn't even bother to come up or offer to make them again. Sucks, we need a new pub in the area!!
I always go there to get Somosa for the Christmas parties, etc. Everyone loves them and asks me where I get them from. We love them as well; our kids who aren't fans of spicy food always reach for the somosas...along with a glass of milk. They love them and often ask if they can take it to school for their lunch along with a carton of milk. I've been going there for 3 years now to buy somosas every time. It's not too spicy but mildly spicy. I never tried their buffet, etc so can't speak about those. It's a bit dated inside but the service and somosas are outstanding in my book.
We went for breakfast several times in the last 2 weeks on various days. We found the food AMAZING! The eggs were cooked the way I liked them. I had the breakfast club sandwich and it was perfect. The ham was sliced off the ham not the typical "fake" ham. The hash browns were cooked just right..most restaurants generally served overcooked/burnt hash browns. This is the first time we found a place that did the hash browns perfectly; golden brown and well cooked. The tomato in the sandwich was freshly cut and not "old". Toasted sourdough bread was toasted to golden brown and not soggy at all. We have also tried the egg benedict another time. It was perfectly sauced on top. My experience has been that they go light on the sauce but not this place..it was just balanced so it wasn't dry. The plate was FULL of food and not sparse at all. Perfect for the price we pay for a plate. My young girls loved the food there too and cleaned their place. It's very full in the parking in the mornings there. A lot of elderly people frequent the place. The one negative thing is their coffee isn't very good in my opinion; it tasted weak and bitter. Otherwise; I would go back again for their breakfasts.
It's been at least a decade since we last visited a White Spot. No particular reason, there are just so many other restaurants to try. But we were very hungry after a long sunny afternoon exploring the Pitt dykes and WS was the first non-Chinese/Sushi place we saw so we stopped in. They chose to seat us at a table surrounded by babies and kids for some reason but they were remarkably quiet so we could still chat comfortably. WS was having their burger extravaganza and we both decide to try their peanut butter/jalepeno/bacon burger which they promised was exotic and delicious. Came with the usual coleslaw and their Signature Delta-origin never-ending french fries which must make the local potatoe farmers proud because WS does do fries well. The burger was fine although the peanut butter didn't really appeal to either of us...tasted satay-like which was a bit odd for a burger. I remember WS always had great burger buns, almost brioche-like with a soft crumb and a tender crust that had a nice "bite" and it seems the buns have changed...not bad, just not what I remember. Overall the meal was fine, nothing special. Service was quietly competent and the tab was $36 with tip and a bottomless ice tea.
