This place will certianly not win any awards, nor does it stack anywhere in the vicinity of its great cousins like Sun Sui Wah or Kiran....however, for $6.66 (tax-in) for lunch specials, what more can you ask for? First off, the place is CLEAN and well-run (spotted: patrons bearing Fraser Health "Health Inspector" jackets and badges getting food). Their Singapore-style noodles are quite tasty and are enough to feed more than a few people. In fact, for a total of $77, I was part of a party of 12 that ate well, with enough for leftovers. The owner is super-nice. The staff can be run-off their feet, but are warm enough. No, this place will not be featured in the Georgia Straight, but it beats any mall food court!
Have been continuing to go here. Lunch specials are a great value. Decor has been recently updated with new tables, chairs, and tv screens. Can be busy at times during the lunch hour, but take out is always speedy and you never have to wait very long for your order.
There are quite a few Chinese restaurants in Maple Ridge. This one would probably be slotted in to the awful pile. The only positive thing I can say about this place is the Sweet and Sour pork is pretty good. Other than that, it's awful. The Chicken Chow Mein is dry and tasteless. My beef about this place is the awful service. The girl who works there is very rude to customers. I went in there once to get take-out and when I went to pay she asked me if I wanted to make a tip?!? Like, are you serious here?? My obvious answer was a huge no. Thankfully...because when I got home the food was...crap.
The restaurant itself is very dirty and extremely tacky.
Would not recommend.
