Living in Pitt Meadows we have tried several Chinese Restaurants. All of the ones we tried in our area were quite disappointing. This place was fantastic! The food was excellent. It was delivered hot and the portions were large. The food tasted awesome and it was not too greasy like most Chinese food we have had. The egg rolls were huge and yummy (they do not contain meat, but are still great!). The sweet and sour pork was served nice and crispy with very little fat or bones and topped with a delicious sweet & sour sauce. The chicken chow mein and beef chop suey were both very good also. The vegetables tasted fresh and were not overcooked. They were done just right (a little crispy, but not too hard or soft). The pork fried rice was awesome. Very tasty, but not greasy. My favourite Chinese soup is hot & sour. My wife is not usually fond of this soup. However, after trying Kitchen On The Ridge's hot & sour soup, she is now a fan of it! It was so good, but for those who are sensitive to spicy food, I would not recommend this soup to you. Most Chinese restaurants serve hot & sour soup, but it is never spicy and taste wise is so-so. Kitchen On The Ridge makes a great hot & sour soup that is actually spicy and has gigantic shrimp or prawns in it. Awesome, highly recommended! Another great thing about this restaurant is that if you order over $30 worth of food, you get a free pork fried rice. They offer a free dish if you order over anywhere between $30-$90. Great value, and service too! Apparently they offer all day Canadian style breakfast too. We have not tried this yet, but after having such a great experience we probably will!
