Had Chinese food here 3 times in the past month and a half.
Very impressed with how good the food is (Chinese Cuisine). Compared to many other Chinese Food Places in town, the food here is hardly greasy other than the deep fried spring rolls :P
The portions are HUGE!!!
The last time I ordered I was at my friends and it was 9:55pm we decided we wanted to get some chinese food. We had no idea what time they closed but decided to call anyway. He calls them up it rings for a good bit then goes to messaging. Just as he went to hang up a lady picked up. She took our order and said it would be ready in 25 minutes. We head over and the open sign was off, she let us into the store. As we waitied for the food to finish we looked at the store sign and they had closed at 8:30pm!!! They took an additional order just for us!! I couldn't believe it.
Fantastic service and a great experience.
Thanks guys keep up the good work!!
PS: The inside is a little older (doesn;t have the new tile fancy ikea look) but it is practical, tidy, and well laid out. I have no problem that a place does not look "Modern" as long as it is well kept which this place is!
Gotta say that they try really hard to make this place work. Its cheap but thats for a reason. The place looks like it was designed and put together about 50 years ago. Even back then there was better decor then what they have in there right now. Service really sucked. Not sure if they thought I worked there or what but I sat down at one of the picnic tables inside the restaurant and no one said anything to me for about 20 mins. I had some time to kill so I just played this out. Maybe they could win me back with some service. Well she finally got around to me and you know the service wasn't that bad. She was very nice and accomodating. The food was total crap though. Its more like Kitchen gone off the Ridge. Maybe my standards are pretty high but when I pay about $10 plus tax and tip for a sandwich I wouldn't mind having some comfortbale furiture to sit in and some better decor to look at. Hope the owner decides to update or else this may be heading out of the Ridge soon.
I have eaten breakfast at the Kitchen on the Ridge a few times. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. Fabulous! Service is great. Courteous and friendly. Place is impecably clean. Value is great. Have not had cantonese menu at all. But for Saturday or Sunday breakfast, you can't beat it.
The pinnacle of 'Hole in the wall' Diners!! Luv it, Luv it, Luv it!!! Spent many a weekend there for breakfast. Haven't been there for awhile but the foods great! The service is amazing! (Thanks Jen, hope your still there.) And the rest of the staff is always courteous and awesome too! You just can't beat the value and it's clean!! Don't change a thing! Keep up the good work peeps!!
