Great steaks, a casual ambiance and friendly, very knowledgeable staff are the proud and reliable trademarks of The Keg Steakhouse & Bar.
I visited the keg a long time ago and remembered it being quite run down, dark, and stale. After the renovations I have to say that it looks like a brand new restaurant. Finally the owner broke down and through some money at the place. For good reason too since you're spending around $50 a head once you have left. Thats a pretty penny for the locals. Just wanted to let everyone know that the place looks great and the food/service as always was great.
Living in Maple Ridge for 30+ years the one thing I can count on is that when I take my family and friends out for dinner I know that I can count on the Keg to be there for me.
The food is always on point, Service is always excellent and there is only one way to deal with the Keg and that's to "Keg size it" .
thanks for being there for me in times of need :)
I have to say that the Maple Ridge Keg is the worst I have ever been to.
I have been three times.
The 1st was so bad I wrote the district manager to let him know about my experience.
The staff, which is usually outstanding at the Keg, in this one is not. They are unprofessional bordering on ridiculous.
If you are used to expecting the best from the Keg, then this is not the one to visit.
I would recommend it be avoided.
Maple Ridge has other much better steak houses.
A group of us couples went to the Keg at 6:15 to secure a table for a 7:00 diner. We were told that it would be max 30 minute wait and that we should wait at the bar next door as there is not enough room to accomodate all of us at the lounge and wait inside the restaurant. We sat for one hour 45 min in the bar next door with other restaurant patrons as depicted by their beeper disc that calls you when your table is ready running up a nice tab until we decided to go and wait inside the retaurant and demand a table which is what we did and got a table. When we finally got seated and our meals were served my steak was a grissly chew toy and crab legs were cold from being thawed out they were definitely not fresh.
The Kegs food prices are by far not economical as well as the drinks but one should get a fair meal for a fair price but this is definitely not the case here. I eat at restaurants 3-4 nights a week including the Keg where I live but this Keg is way off the mark and should consider changing the way it does business. I would also like to say that I have never complained ever written a review about anything but this this place really needs one written so that things canbe corrected.
A true steakhouse in Maple Ridge. The best eye candy in all of Maple Ridge. Great place for after work get together and party - not too pricey anyway and if on expense account charge it to the company. The food was good, they have many types of wine (we ordered reds) and the tight short skirt on the girls made me tip a full 20%. If they put in the effort I need to do the same.
