Iori Sushi offers a menu full of classic Japanese dishes and classics as well as some of their own inventive and contemporary versions.
This is one of my favorite sushi places in Maple Ridge. It is a bit expensive for a quick bite, but the quality and freshness of sushi wouldn't disappoint you. It is cozy inside and service is fast.
Rolls are full and moist, not too much rice.
I would definitely come back again. This restaurant is very conveniently located next to Save on Foods so it will make a good place for a quick lunch or take out.
If you want to go to a real restaurant , go to Shinobi but this place ranks no. 1 in my list of take-outs or quick sushi places in Maple Ridge.
The food is delicious! I always go there and order sockeye sashimi, and it is easily the best i've ever tasted. They only use wild sockeye. I also get a miso soup and a seafood sunomono salad. And it's just way too good! I usually get one different type of roll each time or the special. Fresh oysters if they are on special it's so good. I always tip good because they make the best sushi. It's located right beside Save on foods so after you get grocceries treat yourself to some delecious sushi and be put in a better mood with the service maybe even being better than the awesome food.
On a spontaneous check of this restaurant one cold rainy day when my usual haunts were too busy to even think about entering, I was very glad that I popped in for a bite to eat.
Probably the fastest service I have ever encountered at a Japanese sit-down restaurant. From the time I stepped in the door, got seated at the sushi bar and started being served, a total of 4 minutes passed by. A light lunch of Ebi Sunomono, Chicken Yakitori with Kappa Maki was very affordable the the quality was superior to most of the quick service Japanese Sushi houses that dot the Lower Mainland.
Clean surroundings and pleasantly plated dishes makes this little hole in the wall (unless you're looking for it, you'll walk by) a quiet and plesant stop to make for lunch or dinner.
I have been to Iora Sushi a couple of times since moving out to Maple Ridge from New Westminster in September and have yet to be disappointed. The Rainbow Roll is DELICIOUS and quite big. With taxes and all it's about 11.00 but well worth it. My new favorite item on the menu now though is the Seared Tuna with Avocado salad, it is to die for! It tastes like only the best and freshest ingredients are used and to make this place stand out even more is the very friendly service. Iora is quick, friendly, fresh, and delicious. You won't be disappointed with this seemingly "hole in the wall".
