I had a breakfast meeting and I picked this place based on the strong reviews here. The restaurant was nicely appointed and clean, and the service was very good. They had a decent breakfast menu, and the prices were quite low, which is always a bonus. I had a tasty Denver sandwich and a cup of organic coffee for under ten bucks before tip. Not bad at all.
Recommended.
I have been to this small restaurant many times since it has opened, which must have been around 2007. Their menu is quite large. I usually order a sandwich or a wrap. I would recommend the gyro wrap, which is similar to a donair, without all the grease, the turkey club wrap, and the chicken caesar wrap. Their caesar salads are very fresh and delicious. My dad really enjoys their split pea and ham soup, while I prefer the potato bacon, however the soups change from day to day so you can't always expect the same one. Their apple pie is also a nice treat.
The service is always great, and you can see the chef preparing the meals in the open kitchen. There are many windows to let the natural light fall in, however sometimes it makes the place feel a little cold. There are tables to sit at or a small bar next to the barista. It is on the corner of two fairly busy streets, but the noise never seems to be a distraction. You can even see the tips of golden ears from a few tables.
In all the food is simple and of good quality. I like to think of it as mastering the basics. The price is reasonable for most meals, although I do wish the wraps came with a side salad or a small soup for an extra sum. Therefore, the sandwiches are probably the best deal.
We have been coming to the Green House since it opened. My husband and I have had breakfasts, lunches and dinners here and have never been disappointed. The food is awesome and the service great. The owner, Mehdi, is a wonderful host, the ambiance with soft Jazz is relaxing. This restaurant is Maple Ridge's best kept secret! Prices are excellent. We have been to every restaurant in Maple Ridge and we keep coming back to the Green House for excellent food at excellent value! WELL DONE Mehdi and Staff!
- faithful customers
sometimes simple is best. the green house cafe does breakfast to perfection. we eat there at least 3 times per month and look forward to our next breakfast each time we leave. the lattes put starbucks too shame, so so good.
omlettes are great, imaginative and tasty.
for my money, the best breakfast value in maple ridge.
I have been to the Greenhouse Bistro many times, enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinners. Every meal has been exceptional.
I often attend by myself and on many occasions I have sat near the counter where I can watch the incredible chef create his fabulous meals.
Always using the freshest ingredients and the finest quality foods, it is easy to see why this restaurant has such loyal customers. Another important consideration is just how spotless the owner maintains his kitchen, something I have rarely seen in other establishments.
No deep fried food here. Only healthy, delicious meals and an exceptional menu.
we've only been their for breakfast - either sit down with the family or take out on our way for a walk with the dogs. it is a breath of fresh air for a morning treat. the restaurant is clean, well lite, nicely laid out - with a view of the chef as he cooks. very modern, very friendly, with quality food. the latte's are worth the wait - putting Starbucks to shame. Go Green!
