Gourmet Dave's is an eclectic bistro with a focus on fresh ingredients to create Dave's signature salads, sandwiches and pastas.
I ate at Gourmet Dave's last week with some women from work. We arrived at 12:05 and the place was packed. This didn't surprise me, as it's a great lunch spot! A table came free for all three of us at 12:10. We sat for about 10 minutes before the server took our drink order.
We then ordered our lunch which was a club sandwhich, soup and a spinach salad. We didn't receive our lunch until 12:40. I was very confused as to why a salad, soup and sandwhich took so long??? The spinach salad was "okay". Nothing special and I could make the same salad at home for half of the price. There was FAR too much goat cheese on this sald, which overpowered everything.
The value is good though, as my friends sandwhiches looked fantastic and the soup smelt great! Gourmet Dave's does do good catering, and I think that is where this restaurant excels. I do not think they do well during a busy lunch service or with the speed of their service...
quaint little bistro in the downtown area of Maple Ridge, be there early if you want a seat at lunchtime! everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. served with a personal flair, homemade dressings and an interesting menu, try the hot seafood salad!. dave is the owner and chef and seem to take real pride in this small but delightful little lunch spot! we go back often!
