I had lunch here recently with some co-workers and it was an okay experience. The restaurant had that suburban Japanese sushi look, including some annoying bamboo mini fountains, pseudo-Japanese art, kabuki masks, etc. It was clean though. Service was fine but there was a bit of a language barrier to overcome. As for food, it was quite good. I had Cali roll, tuna roll, salmon roll, miso soup and some decent gyoza. My colleagues had a variety of rolls, and one in our group had a stir-fry which was on special. No complaints with the chow. As for value, four of us ate well for about 60 bucks.
A decent choice if you are in Mayberry...
Been to all the local sushi place, and this one we keep coming back to. Food is excellent, sushi is fresh, setting is cozy. I recommend their tunna tataki, and my kid think their cali rolls and gyoza are the best ever. I'd give this place 4 stars.
For people who want great Japanese food then this is on the the best options.
Wondering also about the cat pee comment...... :-( Great food, fantastic service, Tuna Tataki is the best EVER! Great place to go, better than most in MR. They do a better job all around than others, exceptional at some things, could do with a revamp/cleaning of facilities, but hey, price is right, smiles are adorable (I recall seeing a server eating there with her son, the kid was in 7th heaven, and bloody adorable to boot!) Prices are great, the servers remember you (the wife loves a special noodle soup, mentioned it once, next time we were there, a different server mentioned they would do it special, now that is service!) We keep going back, and have not gone to any other Sushi place for a long time as they are so consistent! Slow down when entering the parking lot, as the ridges in the gravel reach up and get you!
Nothing special but good place if you are in hurry. Convenient location with lots of parking. Sushi is a bit on a dry side. Fast service. I wasn't too impressed and probably wouldn't come back again as sushi is average and prices are not cheap. There are plenty of other better places in Maple Ridge that I would rather go to.
My husband & I are frequent patrons of Ebi - I haven't been disappointed yet. We usually do take-out but have dined in once. It's your basic Sushi Restaurant decor but that's not why we go - it's because the food is great! Awesome rolls, gyoza, teriyaki & tempura - yum!! Highly recommend Ebi!
what are u talkin about? i go to ebi sushi every week and i never smell anything like cat pee! the food there is really good~ i especially like their Power of Love roll! the sauce is awesome! should really try it. also another super roll called hot night roll. it's got spicy tuna on top of the roll with prawn temp and crab meat in the roll. my mom likes it a lot! these are the 2 best super rolls. there's a lot of other nice rolls there. just check it out! i love their spicy tuna you can't eat it anywhere else! i only like the spicy tuna there. i don't go anywhere else for it! whenever i go there it's always busy so i sometime either do take out or make a reservation. order for take out over $20 u get 10% discount! it's just great~
Best Japanese restaurant in Maple Ridge. My mother-in-law comes from Victoria to enjoy it!!!! Their super rolls are incredible. I love the presentation as well. Always fresh and tastey!!! The salmon baked roll & dancing mangrol roll is fantastic. I crave them on a regular basis. A must check out Restaurant!!!
