Blacksheep Pub & Grill is a friendly, neighbourhood spot offering a varied menu of pub grub, import and domestic beer and tv's to watch all your favourite sports.
This spot could only be termed a point of destination, as no one would knowingly go there on purpose if they didn't know what awaited them upon arrival. The Black Sheep is probably one of the best pubs in the lower mainland, nestled in the shade of the mountains just about as far as you can go on the road to Golden Ears Park. I've been going here for nearly 35 years. This is the reincarnation of the original pub, having moved from across the street where it was a quaint spot, almost always full & difficult to get in. Today it is a almost a sports bar with a liquor store attached. But one thing has not changed and that is the wings. Monday nights is their .29 special with beverage purchase. No take out. Last night after golfing (a good round!) a buddy and I ordered 15 each, shared a side of fries with gravy & an ice cold Guiness each. It just doesn't get much better. So if you are looking for a good meal, reasonably priced & don't mind a drive, try out The Black Sheep in Maple Ridge.
Pub food is pretty darned good, but the dinners are over the top filling, and fantastic for the price! A great place to go close to home, menus r under the table, literally, the old place was good, the new place even better! Please ignore the overall rating, this is a Pub, don't expect grandoise service, fantastic heart stopping food, but the price, the local, the taste, for a Pub, is Pretty darned great!
At least once a week, my husband and I enjoy the awesome lunch specials at the Sheep, the food is always good and the service is always good.
my cat is trying to eat a bug on my computer screen
ttentive. If you go on a day that pasta is the special....mmm
I have been going to the Black Sheep pub for probably 5+ years now and it is and will always be my favorite pub. I feel that too often the places that people enjoy the most don't get enough credit, and people are so quick to take the effort to write a review if it is a bad one, so I just wanted to say thank you for everything over the years. There is a reason why it is consistently ranked number one in Maple Ridge every year. The price is ridiculously good, I can't get a full meal that cheap even at Mcdonalds! The girls are all well trained, efficient, and friendly - many of them have been there for years and they always make an effort to remember all the regular customers names (even the new young girls which is appreciated). It is off the beaten track, in the "boonies" some people say, but it is well worth it if you are in the Maple Ridge area or camping at Golden Ears. Thanks again! I hope the food and service never change.
This place is open later for food than most places in Maple Ridge. One of the newest, cleanest pubs in town, located in East Maple Ridge. This place is ALWAYS busy!! The beer is always cold and fresh, the service is Always good. Well run establishment. Not bad food for the price! I think it depends on the cook working in the kitchen at night, but I've had a few really decent meals there.
I would recommend this pub to anyone looking for a local establishment to kick back in. Or even pop in for lunch!
This place has sooooooooo many TV's it's hard to not look at a tv when you're in there! It's a sports bar, accept it as that and it's all right.
The food is Sysco, run of the mill pub/restaurant food. It's a good place for lunch, or some wings and beers while you watch the game. Nothing to write home about food-wise.
I love the "sheep". Great wings (and cheap on certain nights). Everything Ive eatten here, Ive loved!!! The service is a bit slow (but I always find this is the case in a pub)The new location is beautiful with a great decor...they did a fantastic job. Lots of windows and seating. Great ambiance! Lots of parking. Would reccomend this place to anyone...especially for the wings!!!
