Tried this restaurant when it first opened. Was not impressed then. Thought we'd give it another try. Was even less impressed this time. Food was mediocre at best. I had the house special "roast chicken". Definitely nothing to write home about. The $6.00 Carrot Cake was the scantiest piece of cake I have ever seen in any restaurant ever....and they even had the audacity to bring 2 forks. It was 1 bite each (absolutely no exaggeration) Waitress was pleasant but very inefficient. Won't be giving it another try.
If I could give a 0 Rating I would!
firstly, these ignorant employees, whether they are the owners or not I have no idea nor do i care.
I came in for lunch as I am in London for 10 days on business and wanted a healthy alternative as I like to eat at the white oaks mall every day as my hotel is across the street.
I got the Wednesday special which was some chicken shish kebab.
These guys barely speak a word of English but that did not bother me at first.
after I got my food, I sat down to eat, everything was just flopped and mish mashed on the plate which was bad enough, the chicken was already pre cooked, or was it?
First I find hair in my rice, which I let go because I suppose these things happen. But then once I am on my last piece of chicken, I bite into it and it is completely red/raw on the inside.
Obviously at this point I have had enough as that is obviously disgusting, unsanitary and I am not looking to get salmonella poisoning.
I go back, these 2 baboons start yelling in what sounded like some arabic language, then yelling at me that I finished the plate. took my receipt and through my money back at me and chirping me as I walked away as if I did something wrong.
I already let the hair in the rice slide, and I still feel sick as I am writing this write now.
Just because you have no education or common sense doesn't mean you go and open up a food franchise as something to do as a living.
The food and service was absolutely pathetic and they did not even apologize.
It was not a big meal to begin with, was I supposed to wait and cut open all my pieces of chicken to see if they were raw? I didn't think so...learn to speak English, learn to cook, and learn to treat customers with respect.
I have already notified the food inspection agency of Middlesex-London, and I hope they shut this disgusting place down.
Do not eat here, do not think about eating here, these people are inhumane.
This McDs is the closest to our house and the kids see it and want pancakes. The food is average McD's quality (the kids like the hotcakes), but the service is ALWAYS poor! We have waited 20 minutes for hotcake meals (me with 2 little ones in tow not waiting patiently) and the drive through ALWAYS gives the wrong food or forgets to give us something. Very frustrating. Out of the 5 times I've complained, this last time is the 1st time I've gotten an apology AND a coupon by mail. I have no idea what the coupon is for....
We walk in, and a young girl is sitting down staring at her cell phone in the seating area for customers. I look at the menu for a couple minutes until she noticed me and came over to help me. I ordered a shawarma and a fattoush salad, along with some hummus and requested pita chips to go with it. What I received , was a very dried out pre cooked shawarma, the tiniest and most burnt pita chips and to top it off, a mixed or Caesar and Greek salad?? Very disappointed in not only the food but the lack of any type of true customer service. The cook was not dressed in anyway professional, and the girl that was on her phone when I walked in - went and sat back where she was when she was finished taking my order. I'll stick with the great shawarma's at the food wagon just east of Hamilton and Adelaide.
Plus a very important and shocking dine safe review from the health unit! Putting veggies under meat, not having paper towels or soap to wash hands, and no thermometer ?? Very scary that anyone can open and serve unsafe food https://www.healthunit.com/dinesafe-profile?location=2225
My boyfriend and I went here twice in the last two weeks. Everything seemed normal when we ordered. The lady took our order and we sat and waited. We ate our pizza there. However, once we started looking around while eating she was drinking pop after pop and re-stocking the chips after licking her fingers. She did not once wash her hands while we were there. We were pretty disgusted with this. Nevertheless, we did return the following week. This time there was a male there instead. He took our order and continued to make our pizza. He did not wash his hands from when he handled the till to when he worked with the dough. Again, we were really disgusted and not happy. We did not see him wash his hands once as well. We ate the pizza and left. We not happy with the level of sanitation in Pizza Pizza.
Completely unprofessional. They let drag queens use the women's bathroom and at the same time forbid men to use the men's bathroom until said drag queen is done coming out of the womens bathroom. Which are completely different places but it doesn't matter to them. They even refuse paying customers in such circumstances. Not very professional.
I also saw a blonde employee not using glove when he should have been.
That's just asking for food poisoning. I hope the health board watches them closely.
Worst pizza in London. Starting from the phone call to pickup, it was a bad experience. Their Tuesday special is 2 regular panzerottis for $11.99. The lady I spoke to on the phone who barely spoke English, was arguing with me and telling me that they would only give me 2 smalls for that price. I requested sauce IN my panzerotti. Got the food home and the quality of it sucked. They did not put any sauce in my panzerotti, but had a small cup of it on the side. Even if I was drunk, their pizza would not be good. Go to Stobies and get yourself GOOD pizza.
Was there with my kid Nov 30,2014 ordered 2 chicken shawarma and 1 beef shawarma. I asked the server to cut both meats from the top as I can see they added fresh meat on top of old meat which is a very bad practice. Chicken shawarma is made of dark meat instead of white. 3 wraps where falling apart and not eatable, the beef shawarma had no tast what so ever, as a matter of fact it tasted like cold water. When i approached the owner and showed him how bad the wrapping was he said oh that s because we don t have fresh bread today and did not even offer any replacement. Garbage food, and very bad customer service.
For the last few years I have taken my Grandchildren to Montanas for their Birthday dinner with Nana....I was so disappointed as was my 9 year old Grandson when I told the waitress..."Tracey" that is was my Grandson's birthday....she basically said too bad...we DON"T do anything at lunch for kids birthdays...she could have had the courtesy to say kinda whisper it to me rather right in front of my Grandson...his face dropped because he knew that when I took his brother last year they put on the Moose Ears and sang Happy Birthday to him....BIG disappointment for both myself and my Grandson as we drove almost an hour just to celebrate his birthday...a candle in his cookie would even have lifted his spirit up ....I felt so bad for him as I hope Tracey "the waitress" did too...so much for our going to Montanas for our other 7 grandchildrens Birthdays.
"A out of towner downer.
Looks small from the outside and is on the inside with 4 tables and a couple of extra seating areas. Was interested by the prices on the menu as they seem lower than the average restaurant. Was surprised to learn however that you CAN'T pick the type of potato with certain meals. Was informed by our server that "whatever the daily potato is, that's what you get" Considering they serve fried potatoes, mashed and fries, I found this to be strange. Surprised even more when the meals came out with our preferred potato.
Steak for $11 was amazing. Tasted great.
Would definitely come back despite the attitude of the server.
Food was fresh staff was great best panzerotti in London hands down. Homemade meat sauce and price was great. 3 sizes to choice from. They have a panzerotti challenge to big to eat only 1 person has ever done it. I have been to a lot of places but this little diner is the best keep secret in London.
We took our family here because we had a gift card to dine here. I will never go back. The service was terrible from the moment we walked in the door. I felt like the 4 girls at the front were looking at each other to say who got stuck with the family with 3 kids. I don't think it was that family friendly. Sure we got crayons but the waitress we had barely broke a smile and seemed like it was annoying to have to serve our table. I'm not sure if there is a rule about the "all you can eat" soup or salad that comes with the meal but I received 1 bowl of salad - and had to ask for more. Yet I witnessed other tables with a big bowl at the table. Maybe it was because my spouse had soup instead but even he was not asked again if he wanted more soup after his 2nd bowl. .And we only were given 3 loaves of bread. We seemed to have to wait a fair bit for our food. And our waitress was not very friendly - like I mentioned - she did not even crack a smile. We won't be going back to any East Side Marios in the future.
I just ordered a pizza from this place and when I got it home it was raw!!! I called and they said they would send another one but then called back 5 mins later and said his driver was too busy. So we had to go and pick it up. I looked at it before I left and thought it looked ok but when I got it home it too was raw although slightly better then the last one. When I called again I was told that they were not returning my money and that it was just too bad and got hung up on. Terrible customer service and food! Will NEVER go back!!!!!
I loved it, my wife loved it, my kids loved it. We ordered 4 chicken shawarmas, 3 fries and 3 pops. there was so much food we took some home with us. everything was fresh quality was amazing, and service was just through the roof. It was become out friday night take out or delivery meal now for the past 4 months. its a MUST HAVE!!
it is a good place to relax and enjoy the company of your friends. While able to indulge in the quality of the food presented by the cheerful waitresses, makes you feel welcomed and wanting to come back for more. for more food pics plz check out my food blog→ http://applepinpin.pixnet.net/blog
Just thought I'd post here that the phone number(5198590394) listed on this site is my personal cell phone, not that of brake time cafe. I wish I could help you with your order but I simply have no connection to the place. I'm sorry. Good luck finding the right number though!
A friend introduced me to this restaurant a few months ago, and I'm hooked! I've been going so often the owner now knows who I am...Such a welcoming staff. London really needed a family restaurant like this. It truly is a feel-good place. Skillets always call my name. And coffee is soooo good!
We ordered from them once and everything was great. Thinking we were going to get the great, we were sadly disappointed the second time.
They do not carry all the toppings they advertise (which was why we ordered from them in the first place).
They ran out of garlic bread on a Thursday night. Really? A pizza place without garlic bread?
We waited over an hour and a half for the delivery. Food was good but it was lukewarm. Unsure of value as the delivery man forgot debit machine and hasn't returned yet.
i went there to get a bagel, and was in a rush to leave. There was only one other customer and they took forever to get their order done. However, the entire time that they were getting the persons in front of me order, my bagel was sitting right there, ready to be handed to me. I even said to them im in a rush and they didnt even acknowledge it. I go there lots, and there service has never been really good. Their not even friendly at all. Theres a little red head whos always working there, and he never smiles or anything. Its ridiculous. Last time i go to that Tim Hortons.
They make the best lobster in town and give you the entire lobster. For like $10 per person which is amazing! They cook it anyway you like like most dishes but some reviews are completly ignorant of that. They are used to buffets and places that just server the same dish to everyone! Anyway the best way i like my lobster is chopped garlic steamed and Ooooommmmgg its amazing. Best lobster ever. Well i only had lobster from here in london which sucks. Dim sum is cheap dishes start at $2 dollars and most of them except for noodles are under $5.. but noodles. The noodles are huge though enough to feed several people and start at $10-20. I suggest not trying congee if you don't like rice soup. I have been going every sunday since the day it opened. They all know me and i always tip well because they know how to serve you they arn't like most places that say no we cant do that. Its usually fast but can take time depending on the amount of people and it gets full sometime.. I have asked for custom orders lots of times like just normal steamed carrots and veggies which they will do if you ask.
