We went to baseline's in langley to watch the UFC and to dine-in. They have a pretty good choice of different foods available. I had the Burger Mozza Buger which was just OK, passable but nothing spectacular, i paid $10 for it which isn't too bad, came with fries which were not bad. For drinks I had Heineken which was on special that evening for $4.75 for a pine, which was the only pretty good value.
The service was pretty terrible, we had to wait 30mins to get served after being seated it took another 20 mins to get our drinks, my girlfriend had to wait 30mins to get a damn water later in the evening! We asked for menus but the service girl said she couldnt give us any since they were all being used by other customers, so after another 20 mins we finally got our menus. After we ordered it was about 30mins before the food came, which i didnt have a big problem with since we were watching the UFC on TV.
The place itself has that stingy feel where it looks inviting from the outside but inside it feels like your in a dirt hole. It's perfect for guys who want to hang out and get drunk watching sports like UFC or the hockey but as a family or get together you probably want to check out Andreas Restaurant down the road.
Overall it was quite poor, the only thing saving it all was watching the UFC on TV, good atmosphere there but on a typical night I couldn't see myself coming back here again. My Recommendation is don't go here, unless your a bunch of dudes who just want to get drunk and get rowdy which then you wouldn't care about anything.
I went to the washroom before I ate and was discusted. OMG it was so filthy. No toilet paper, toilet not flushed, only one sink tap worked, no paper towel, the floor was full of dirt everywhere. I was amazed it passed health inspection. I had to go into another stall to get toilet paper and used that to dry my hands after washing! So I wondered how clean the kitchen was???
We had Dim Sum. It was expensive, I had to ask for dipping sauces, the clams were full of sand, the deep fried squid was greasy and tough.
I could NOT recommend this dump. I was there mid week and there were only a few people eating there. Mostly Caucasians and only one Asian... they must know not to eat here!
Went to try this busy place out, and see what the fuss was, well the salad is nice, and a couple bread sticks, was tasty, but the meal was very cheap and small considering it was pretty expensive. Almost 20 dollars for a small plate of pasta with chopped tomatoes, and tiny piece of chicken on top, which is so small I barely could tell chicken was there, they had so many tomatoes on it. The old spa factory is a much better deal for about the same food. I was disappointed that this meal was so cheap, and yet cost so much on their menu. I went there to order veggie lasagna because I dont eat beef, well they didnt have veggie, which was also strange, even the waiter said how strange, can just take out the beef. Well I will not go there again, too much for they hype, and not worth the actual meal they give you.
I had been to this restaurant a few years ago and loved it, and returned last night to be just as impressed. I took my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner to have the chef;s selection 4 course meal. Our waitress was great about making sure the chef knew our likes/dislikes and my food sensitivites.
We started with drinks (which were made well) and some bread and got out first course which was a caesar salad and a duck and apple slaw salad. The caesar is amazing - they make their own bacon which is delicious. Salad was a little over dressed, but incredibly tasty. Next we were given crab cakes and mussels, both were some of the best I'd ever had. I should note the portion sizes here are very filling, they aren't short on that at all. By the time we got our mains we were already pretty full. My boyfriend got the steak over mashed potatoes with truffle butter mushrooms and I got to have the honey date duck breast. Mushrooms on top of the steak were the best, and I wish I could have them at home all the time. Botht he steak and the duck were cooked perfectly too, very tender.
After all that we finished with our desserts - a panna cotta with wild blueberries and a pumpkin tart. We enjoyed both, and enjoyed being able to share each course we got so we could try a little of everything.
The only weird thing about the night was that the restaurant was empty. With food so good, I'm not sure why we were alone. It is in a bit of a strange (quiet) spot in the industrial park, so maybe that is why. We will definitely be heading back and recommending it to friends for nice nights out.
We recently tried Kostas for Dine In. We live in Cloverdale and we've had delivery numerous times, but decided to have a night out on the town. My fiance had the Rack of Ribs and I tried the roast lamb. My lamb was so tender and juicy. So delicious! We will go again very soon or atleast I'll be sure to order the roast lamb instead of the Chicken Soulvaki when we do delivery :).
I've eaten here a couple of times and it is always good. It beats any fast food (McDonalds ect) hands down as well as "Best Donair" which is not the best at all. Food tastes fresh and the meat is hot and flavorful. The staff is very nice. Would and will keep going back.
Their rolls and sushi are quite good. Their hot food was very mediocre at best. Chicken teriyaki was lacking in sauce. Didn't care for the Ebi Gyoza's what so ever. Beef ribs were tough and lacking in flavor. Their tempura was awesome both prawn and vegetable.Their green salad was really good. It had a very tasty dressing on it. Green tea was very watery (in taste and colour). For a full restaurant they should have had more than one waitress working. Probably wouldn't go back there with so many good sushi places available in Langley.
Defiantly the best food I have had in Langley.great restaurant very cozy and friendly. My family really enjoyed the experience there. Great menu with large variety of food so we were all happy. We tried it several moths ago and have been going back regularly. I even booked my company party in their new addition.
After buying a groupon, four us dined in the kitchen at the Chef's table. We were a little apprehensive at first , having never dined in a restaurant kitchen, but our apprehension was soon changed to elation. Firstly, we had the opportunity to see not just our meals being prepared, but everyone's dinner. From the orders being called, to their preparation, to the playing! Even more remarkable was the fact there are NO steam tables! Everything is made to order!
Even more remarkable was the fact we all received 4 different 5 course meals. Twenty different plates made it to our table, all served to us by the chef! We enjoyed salads made with local greens, the most amazing plump and juicy mussels, local meats, and house made desserts. After dinner we were even able to spend some talking with chef Adrian.
The Chet's table may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a truly unique experience " foodie" you gotta give this a try!
Love Mexican food and Viva was not a disappointment. My 3rd visit here and what really brings back here, beside my love for Mexican food is their service. Casual but very friendly. The place is clean but need some jazz up. Definitely coming back with my friends from Florida. Viva la Mexico.
We were very impressed with the service and food. Immense flavour experience. The calamari was delicious and the lamb curry was just right for spices. We also enjoyed the chicken chettinaad. The chef came over after the meal and asked our impressions. You can feel their pride in their restaurant and for good reason. Hope they have every success!
I was worried because of the amount aprox 40 guest apro 35 attended all ages ...When I phoned to Book the manager Steve was eager/happy to accommodate us and flexible with are plans ...We were having my mom's 70 th b-day and our theme was cowboys & Indians ..some people were dressed in theme and we brought props for photo's n decorated the tables ..
Everyone commented on what a great party and had a fantastic time and loved the atmosphere We were laughing and having a great time the whole night ...The food and service, excellent !!! People commented on how pleasant, friendly & fun the waitresses were and they got right in to it :)))
Thank-you very much Montana's and all the staff for having us,you definitely help make my mom's party a huge success !!!

I work just the summer months at the pool store around the corner. I call ahead and get the BLT toasted on a multigrain bagel. Perfect every time! value and service are great, but I have to say that the fact that they consistently make it the exact same way is why I go twice a week for this delicious morsel...BACON! right? LOL
ps haven't had anything yet I wasn't happy about :-)
Okay we have been going to Earls for a long time long before I had my son. Since having him we had only gone when he was small enough to fit his carseat and all the other times just ordered takeout. This past Saturday a couple of friends, my husband, my 10 month old son, and I stopped in for an early dinner. Upon arrival the waitress informed me that they had no high chairs or booster seats, we decided to stay and enjoy a meal together anyway. My son sat between us in the booth, well stood really. Now I fully understand that this isn't a "family style" restaurant, however eliminating anyone with children coming to the restaurant is a bit drastic, then it should be labelled a bar or pub where children cannot go. I sent Earls a letter to this regard, and they informed me that they have chosen not to market their restaurant to families. It was a scripted response that they've obviously sent many times.
The food was decent and is consistent with the many other times I've been or ordered takeout. The service wasn't outstanding and the waitresses/hostesses always seem to have far too little clothing on.
I however will NOT go to Earls again with or without my child or order takeout as I feel like this is discrimination.
We celebrated our anniversary by dining at Seasonal 56 on the high recommendation of friends who frequent this restaurant. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent and plentiful! I was a little disappointed in that they didn't have the Caesar Salad that I'd read so many good reviews on, but it was great to try something new, and I enjoyed my wonderfully fresh and oh-so-tasty Tomato Salad instead. Even though some reviewers did not like the area around the restaurant,(Industrial) once you're inside you completely forget the exterior surroundings. With a smaller room one normally can hear the next table's conversation, but not at this restaurant. They have the table expertly placed so that everyone can experience intimate dining at it's best.
We loved the food, and the fact that it is locally produced and amazingly prepared. The staff were so friendly and did apologize when our dessert was a little slow on it's way to our table...... It was well worth the wait. You won't go away hungry, but with a smile on your face and a full tummy. We'll return for sure!
On September 22,2012 - The Baron's Manor Pub was our venue for our 30 year class reunion. We were thrilled with the level of service and hospitality that we received throughout the entire evening. From the Staff helping us set up at the beginning of the evening right through to the very end of the night we received exceptional service. Our sincere thanks to everyone at the Baron's Manor pub for making our 30 reunion a success. I received rave reviews about the restaurant and would recommend this restaurant for anyone planning a special event.
Went to Luxe the other night nice place. When the waiter came to the table he was very RUDE .I proceeded to order and before each selection I ordered he said YUUUP YUUUUUUUUUUUP .I should have told him how rude he was and left. The food came out not big portions either and soaked in oil or grease the plates were very slimy. Will never go back to such a crappy restaurant! This place should be shut down . Oh ya the prices are approx double of your standard fare chinese restaurant dinner for 4 only 99 dollars what a joke. It will feed 3 people and will still be hungry. Do not go save yourself you been advised
My family and I been to Fork N' Chopsticks a few times over the past 2 years. We never had a problem with the food. In fact, WE LOVE THE FOOD!!! IT TASTES GREAT :)!!!!
I'm not sure why others are saying foolish comments about this restaurant's food. It's blatantly a foolish LIE!!!
The food has a bit of creativity to it, which makes it exciting.
However, it does take a very long time for the food to be prepared. Nevertheless, The food turns out great every time.
If you can't wait for great food, then go to a FAST FOOD restaurant...
In my opinion, its a small restaurant trying to provide great food. The food is great and for the most part the service is ok too. It is understandable to have, somewhat, poor service when a youth/young adult is your server, besides that, no one can complain having fresh hot food at the table.....RIGHT! :) YUm
Keep up the great work Fork N' Chopsticks!
We will be stopping by this weekend for my mom and girlfriend's B-Day! :)
I used to live in Downtown Vancouver with easy access to Shawarma restaurants on davie and denman. When I moved to the Burbs one of the things I missed was some of the food which wasnt nearly as prevalent or tasty as it was in the Downtown Core. Recently I spoted this Falafel place and introduced it to some friends who live in Vancouver and I'm proud to say that they now travel to Langley every few weeks just to enjoy the Shawarma plates. I've had the Chicken and the Lamb Shwarma and although they dont have quite the same tahini based sauce as the Falafel King did on Denman, it is amazingly deliscious and I definitly get my fix of Shawarma craving satisfied each time I have ordere food here. I've ordered to-go and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, Same for the dine in experience. The restaurant is clean and I encourage any fraser Valley residents to enjoy some of the food here. Yes it does look like it is gearing up to try and do a franchise and it certainly provides a healthy alternative. I read the history of the place and I believe the owner used to run one of the Falafel places in Downtown Vancouver which explains the good tasting food ! :) We have eatne here three times in the past 2 months and have been happy with all three experiences. :) Thank-you. to get there you get out at the 264 street exit off hwy 1 and then head north. pull into the Mc Donald's area and then drive around the back of McD's and you will find some parking. :)
No surprises here ! Consistency in the food is always of a high standard. Wait staff extremely attentive even on a busy Sunday morning.Had the breakfast steak, ordered rare to med rare .came med ,but no problem with the flavours.Coffee was constantly topped up.Everyone else mentioned how good their meals were.Try it you will like it.
