What a treat in an industrial part of Langley /Walnut Grove . Well worth the drive , Clean establishment . very pleasant wait staff {Shannon}.
Ordered the house Schintzel and Shannon recommended that I ask for less salt . Wonderful flavour , Veges over cooked, loved my meal .My wife ordered the roasted lamb and was a little disappointed , funny taste in her rice , veges over cooked,
overall a pleasant dining experience
This is one of our favourite restaurants, and we go at least once a month, and have taken our friends and family there too. The staff are really nice and friendly, food is good, prices are good too. We live nearby, and often take advantage of their good value take out menu. I don't care for Greek salad, and like Caesar salad instead when we go to greek restaurants, but I don't really like the dressing they use at Zythos, but I eat it. Also, I wish they would carry a white zinfandel for people that like a sweeter wine. Overall we like this restaurant, and will continue to go there, and we also think that it is a bit cold there in the winter.
This was our first time at Zythos....... We were very impressed. The good was great............lots of choices on the menu and the quantity of food is more than enough for one person to eat!. A doggie bag is mandatory! The staff is so friendly and courteous. The service is outstanding!! Zythos is a nice, family-run restaurant. I am looking forward to going back to sample more of what they have to offer!
The restaurant is quite new. The same location had a different Greek restaurant several years ago, but was closed. Chatted with the waitress, and this is actually owned by a different owner.
The waitress is very nice. You see her all the time, not like some other places, you rarely see the waitress.
The price is very good too, seriously. It is very outstanding in this surrounding area.
Like the music.

I submitted a review earlier - too bad it has to come off of the site for me to submit this one! i returned alone to Zythos on Saturday night after doing a couple of talks at Cedar Rim Nursery. Even though there was a retirement party with about 50 guests going on with all that entailed, staff still managed to give me stellar service. The food as usual was SO good. Their moussaka is to die for. Maria is so generous in spirit and many other ways :-) It is such good value - everything including salad, yummy tsatsiki, pita, delicious lemony roast potatoes, rice pilaf....all for about 16 bucks. If you live in Langley or Surrey you are crazy not to go to Zythos. Good that the road construction seems over for now - it was a bit of a zoo before. If I didn't live in Kitsilano, I'd be there at least once a week for the food and the top-notch genuinely warm service.
Truly the best Mediterranean food around! Food was served in a timely manner, great service and friendly people. Prices were very fair, the lamb was melting off the bones, I must say the kalamari was the best I have ever had. Interior was unique, the colors were fresh, the exposed wood beams were stunning, the barrell seating area is a one of a kind. I will return for sure !
I ate here with a group of 6 adults and 3 children last weekend, and it was a good experience. Food was lovely, service was slow (but I think that was because they knew we were chatting happily together and creating a leisurely meal of it) and we appreciated a restaurant without a television in it!
The roast lamb was incredible. A large portion and so tasty and tender. I'll definitely go back just to eat that again. The chicken kebabs were awesome too, really moist and tender. The ribs weren't the most tender we've had but had a lovely flavour. The only misses were the hummus (an odd orange colour and very runny, unlike any hummus I've had before) and the pita was disaapointingly 'canadian style' pita rather than a more authentic greek flatbread.
We were impressed on the whole. Plus they gave a free dessert to the birthday boy, without us having previously told them it was a birthday celebration or anything. I thought that was a very nice caring touch. We will return, any place that can serve such a generous portion of wonderful roast lamb is worth going back to!

Very good food, service good, excellent value, very reasonable prices,good portion size,nice ambience. The building has had a great renovation and the decore is very modern Greek. Great Greek music. Food is excellent and service is good. Prices are great for family dining. The owner greats you himself and makes you very welcome. He makes sure you have an excellent dining experience in his restaurant.
