The Shark Club in Langley is the largest sports bar in the area.
We used to frequent this chain when it was a chain and it was a good place for cheap brew, basic food, even wine and on occasion we would cruise the ladies with success if we hadn't brought our own. The establishment is not what I remember it. The food, ladies and atmosphere is cheap. Maybe I have upgraded myself. The prices are still reasonable. There are still ladies here, but nothing that makes me excited. Fox the atmpsohere.
I have been to the Shark Club quite a few times. Usually (on Friday, Saturday nights) the service isn't great. Through out the week, however I have had nothing but positive experiences. The cheese panini and the chicken pesto penne ( I always order it without the chicken) is delicious. The last time we were there our server was incredibly attentive and sweet. Wouldn't reccomend the Shark Club on Fri or Sat as more than a night club.....check it out during the week though, a great place to catch a game!
Brought a business client here for pool, drinks and eats. Took forever to get someone to take our order. Had to go get them. Drinks were okay - like any bar. TV's were loud and annoying. When the food finally came it was the same deep fried food you see in any bar - not too impressive and greasy. For the price I was expecting a higher class of food. Also seems to be a place for younger crowd as some of the guys in there appear to be "VERY" young which also made us feel uncomfortable. Overall I felt poor value for spend. Will try to find a more upscale place near by and stay way from now on.
Came here for a friend's birthday dinner, had the downstairs section to ourselves, so that was nice and quiet compared to the rest of the place. The waitresses did a great job with checking on us to make sure we were happy with everything.
The jambalaya was so good I wish I was having it right now!
Everyone in our ball league goes here after games for a beer. Great food choices and specials. Service is fast and the staff are always making sure none of your glasses are empty. Sometimes it's a little bit too loud when the DJ is playing music.
Lots of big screen TV's, booths for two people have TV's in the wall which is great to watch the game, large dance floor to boogie down on. Pub turns into a club after a certain time so make sure to see the hours
Popped in to the Shark Club after work Friday afternoon. Service was quick and attentive. Above average surroundings and a great place to unwind, watch a game, etc. All my partner and I ordered were some chicken wings, but they were pretty poor. Very small, overcooked and nothing more then bottled sauce tossed over.
I can't say anything about their other dishes as we didn't try them. They may be much better. Still, it doesn't inspire confidence if a pub cannot even do chicken wings well, particularly considering the prices charged.
i was told by some friends to go to the sharkclub, its great they said, wow, were they wrong. loud, messy, holes in the walls. the food was no better then going to burger king, well actually at burger king i know what to expect. i understand what a sports bar is like, i have been to many but the place is old looking, nice tv's though. would not recommend this place to anyone, will not go back
Lousy ambiance in the restaurant itself, dark and gloomy, lots of TV's everywhere! We decided to eat outside on the patio... the ground was unlevel, my (cheap) stool kept on wavering, no matter what position I moved it to. Too many smokers on the patio, where is the law?
How hard is it to make a steak medium rare? Apparently the steak was incorrect more than 2 times, I gave up after the second time... They were polite to take the charge of my drink and food off the tab!
Once bitten, twice shy, no thanks, not again! Wouldn't even recommend it to anyone else!
Bleh!
Well, have your completed golf card on you and if you don't mind giving away that scorecard they give you free plate of wings...cool start, from then on, nothing spectacular...shark bites are always good, but the nachos were dry, bland and just plain disgusting...service was ok, but not great. Walnut grove needs something like this but something with better service.(and you won't catch me at the Walnut Grove Pub!)
I live a couple of blocks from here and whenever theres a game on i enjoy going here not really for the food but its just a good place to watch the game...For a Bar its a decent place for food and to have a couple of drinks...great place to watch a game as there are tv's in your booths downstairs. I personally like sharks club when it turns into a bar at night as they play good music and its a fun atmosphere. overall decent bar food
