We have been here 4 times for takeout and the food is great. We haven't had a bad roll yet. Try the mango roll, tempura sweet potato roll (Yes! They know the difference between Yam and Sweet Potato!), and their dynamite roll. It's worth waiting 10 minutes for fresh sushi. If you're in a rush, order ahead of time and pick-up. This is pretty much a take-out sushi place but there are several seats for eat-in.
Beside Simply Computing and across from Zellers, this new restaurant beckoned. Upon entering you notice a lot of open space and a side counter with bar stools for those who wish to eat in.
There is a small selection of premade sushi near the cash register to choose from, or you can order fresh. The cashier was very pleasant and efficient. There were two people in the back preparing the food, but it still took 10 minutes to get a California Roll and Dynamite Roll combo. Beverages are tucked far away from the ordering counter.
Food: I was surprised that the California roll did NOT have any avocado, but crunchy cucumber. The shredded fake crab and mayo seemed a bit fishy -- I've had better and prefer the authentic version. The dynamite roll was disappointing with a hard piece of avocado (not ripe) and heavy tempura on the shrimp. They were generous with the soy sauce packets.
I won't try the sushi here again, but I may check out the udon or rice bowl.
