Samz is a neighbourhood pub serving pub classics. What your favourite sporting event on one of the many plasma TV's.
We ( the Other Half and I) were in Langley at lunch-time Saturday. Have driven by this place a number of times, and there is always a full parking lot.
Nice and clean pub atmosphere. Service was friendly and timely.
Good pub menu, great specials. Steak sanwich special was very nice... We will return if we ware in the area.
Googled this pub on Dinehere and thought we'd check it out.
We drove from Maple Ridge to Langley to do some shopping. We have our new bridge and are taking advantage of it! I had the quesadilla and it was the best I've ever had (and I've had a few). My husband had the war won ton soup that was on special. He thought it was delicious with lots of fresh vegetables, chicken and prawns. He said it was the best he's ever had. The service was great even though it was fairly busy. We will definitely be back.
My wife and I took my mom here for lunch on a Sunday and it was a disappointing experience. The waitress seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else and could hardly crack a smile. The food was mediocre and pricey for the portion you get. My wife's cheeseburger was a pass, my wor wonton soup was way too salty and very few won tons in it for $11. My mom's beef dip was really plain and the waitress had to ask us if we wanted water even after we ordered an alcoholic drink. Do you really need to ask? Water is cheap. Just serve it. The decor is really dull too. Should spend less money on t.v.s and more money on a decorator. Go somewhere else unless you just want a quick beer served by a zombie waitress.
Me and the guys regularly head to Samz to watch the game and have a couple of drinks. Always a good time, The slammin samz burger is awesome and the servers and bartenders are always really friendly and attentive even though its busy. every night too they have food and drink specials and prize giveaways during canucks games. definitely a great neighbourhood spot.
My husband wandered randomly into this place one day and we've been semi-regulars since. Consistently good food, consistently good service. Last time we were there we ordered the chili chicken appetizer (among other things) and didn't finish it all. Our server asked about it, and we told her that we'd gotten full and since it wasn't our favorite, we just left it. We were completely happy and not looking to be compensated as we'd eaten all but a couple of pieces of chicken, but she actually removed it from our bill! The only disapointment is that the price of the (super yummy) halibut and chips has gone up.
