Best sushi in Langley BAR NONE!
I have ordered almost everything on the menu and have always been downright impressed!
Even the more adventurous can enjoy the sushi here. I order the Chirashi don and I have never been disappointed.
The chef greets the customers, the little details are all in place, the tea is perfect, the ambiance is great, and the food is AMAZING!!!!

The sushi trend is fading fast and that is cool by me. I was visiting my girlfriend and she wanted some oriental food and we ended up here. We recently vistied Miraku Sushi and well the standards for service are usually low at these places but overall quality has slipped in terms of food quality and service.
Food quality seems to suffer nowadays with dragon rolls arriving sloppily made (not tight and nicely laid out on the plate), dynamite rolls thin and not large enough. Even our glasses of water were warm and without ice.
That is not value. And we didnt get enough free orange dessert which is a generally understood costume.
I've tried pretty much all the japanese restaurants in Langley for the past 8 years I have lived here. But by far, Miraku has been the best. They serve big portions and the taste is just amazing at affordable prices. I was quite shocked to see the place newly renovated when I went in a few weeks ago. I love how the atmosphere is very modern! The food always looks so delicious too. The servers are always friendly and they give the best service to each and every customer that walks in. Miraku has never dissappointed me in any way and I recommend this excellent japanese restaurant to everyone!
A few small renovations in the restaurant has definitely helped in the overall ambiance of the place. The food is still artfully delightful and the prices are great value, especially with the large portions that are given. The service is very dedicated, as is suggested by smaller local businesses and they are very good in remembering familiar faces. Try it out if you like friendly and hospitable hosts with delicious meals that come at a great value.
We found Miraku shortly after moving here and fell in love. The owners are wonderful, the service is fantastic, and the food is delicious! This is by far the best sushi in Langley. Because they now know us by name and by sight, they usually throw in something free with our meals, even when we order takeout. They are always friendly and we love the atmosphere. We recommended them to friends and they thanked us for it, because they also had such a wonderful experience there.
One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Langley, both their sushi and hot food is great. I've never received less than outstanding service, and it offers reasonable value ofr the money. It depends on your frame of reference, as it doesn't stack up to some of the better Richmond/Vancouver Japanese, especially when it comes to sushi, but a very solid restaurant in the valley.
Wow - what a surprise! Miraku, on the outside, is an unassuming little storefront near Willowbrook Mall in Langley. Inside, the decor isn't assuming either, but the food is definitely good and...cute! I ordered the tuna sashimi on rice, and above being a decent portion size, decent tasting, i was really pleased with the presentation of the food - it was aesthetically unique as well as easy on the tastebuds. My favourite bit was the sliced strawberry decorating my sushi - unconventional but nice. I'm not sure what they were called but they had these rainbow rolls decorated differently on each piece (avocado for green, salmon for red) and decorated like very cute caterpillars. I liked this restaurant so much that I had to compliment the staff there before I left, because this is a small restaurant with its own special brand of charm. It's been a while since I went there for the first time, but I look forward to going there again. Definitely a solid restaurant if you're looking for a new spot to visit that's in a city close enough to travel for dinner, but offers the adventure and anonymity of being just an hour away from Vancouver.
I love the boxes they have here, they have a fabulous variety you don't find at many sushi places. They have a cucumber, shrimp, apple salad that is sooooooo darn good! I get it on the side everytime, unless it comes with the box I order. The sashimi is so fresh and so melt in your mouth good. The only complaint I have is if you want to substitute (salmon sashimi instead of tuna, etc), if they are busy, or you have a certain chef, they won't allow it. But other than that, you could miss this place if you blink, and that would be crummy.....totally worth tracking it down. Such an unassuming little place in a strip mall. Well worth the stop-in.
I usually check out the reviews here at Dinerhere before going to a new restaurant, and they have been very helpful. One of few exceptions was Miraku Sushi. It was a huge disappointment. While I have been to almost every sushi place in Langley and many in Fraser Valley area, Miraku serves the smallest portions by far - rolls and nigiri sushis alike. I would have understood if the food was extra fresh or the chef had an original touch, but this was NOT the case at all. It did not make sense to me how the previous reviews turned out to be so misleading, so I could only suspect that the owner must have changed.
