Bells Bistro offers a varied selection of home cooked meals, served in a relaxing atmosphere. The menu features many all day breakfast items, freshly made sandwiches, salads, pasta and more for eat in or take out.
I started working out in Langley a few weeks ago in a commercial / industrial area. I didn't expect to find a bistro around the corner that literally has the best soup i've ever had. As i write this review i just had their Brocoli and Four Cheese soup and it's just mind-blowing.
I've had their BLT and today having the Reuben, and there's just that something extra (not to mention the sheer lovability of the owner and cook Dave)...but the food is up there with any fine dining food i've been to and that's saying a lot.
Their main business is catering and during the day husband wife run this bistro, it's a cozy little place but virtually in the middle of nowhere and tucked far away from downtown Langley. If you're ever out in this area stop and try out their sandwiches and soup, it's out of this world. Down-to-earth comfort food.
Can't say enough good about this spot! I recently started frequenting this spot when my office relocated around the corner a few months ago. The food here is amazing and the touch that Dave (owner/chef) puts on his soups and sandwiches takes this place to another level. The portion size is very generous so bring an appetite.
Everyday they have a lunch special and on Friday's they have a "theme" day. Some examples of the theme days are butter chicken with naan, pad thai with chicken and shrimp, pierogies. I usually don't stray far from the lunch special but their menu items are awesome as well. Some highlights are the Reuben, the chipotle chicken sandwich, the caprese, the lasagna (incredible value!).
The homemade soups are also very high quality and change daily. Make sure you try their soups, I haven't had a bad one yet.
The service is great and the place although small is cozy and very friendly. One mention I would make is that the ventilation isn't great in here and due to an open kitchen concept it gets smokey and sometimes you leave with a little bit of smell on your clothes. Don't let this deter you though, all I suggest is that if you have a meeting just come after:)
Anyone who works in Langley, you can't find a better lunch spot for quality of food for your dollar.
