Looking to pick up some fresh bread we headed down the road to find several options but stumbled into Tripke's.
This is very much a neighbourhood style bakery. While the space itself is tidy little eye-pleasing is put into the visual appeal of the bakery, rather the breads and baked goods are what does the selling. There seems to be a sizable seating area behind the bakery, which I can only surmise to be part of Tripke's.
We ended up only with a loaf of white french bread. It had a not too thick and not too thin crust and fluffy innards. We passed on the cookies and cakes and even the local specialty of ogopogos eggs and went with the jumbo salt pretzel. It's a rare find of sorts great when fresh. The course salt crystals compliments the chewy, bagel like texture from the pretzel.
You'll be able to the catch the attention of one of several staffers behind the display cases but the actual service seems to feel a little indifferent depending on who you get. Either way, they do seem helpful with questions their way.
Good find down Bernard.
