We had lunch. The food was very good. it was fresh, important when you are eating sushi. It was well prepared and nicely presented. Portion sizes are good value for money.
The staff was very friendly. It was a relaxed atmosphere and roomy seating. Ample free parking. We would defintely frequent this restaurant regularly for both lunch and dinner.
Ordered delivery shortly after 9 pm. Was told it would be 30 min. At 10 to 10 pm, called restaurant to find it was closed. Delivery did show up, but food was absolutely DISGUSTING. Extremely greasy and oily. The oil permeated the food and oozed out of it. Worse, it tasted old and rancid. Do they ever change the oil on the deep fryer?!!!! The meat...the sweet and sour pork balls...god knows how many times it had be re-cooked. I took a few bites of everything, but it was so disgusting, I wouldn't even give it to the dog, and I threw it out. My gut hurts now and I'm praying I didn't get food poisoning.
If you have, or have been thinking of eating at Dorians Greek Restaurant, please think again!! I was a long time customer to this restaurant, friends with the owners Jim and Diane, and have been eating here for years. On my family's last trip into the restaurant I went into the kitchen to thank Jim for the delicious meal and caught him smoking only feet from open bins of meat and other food on the chef's line. Instead of butting it out, or looking embarrassed, he tossed the pack at me and offered up a stool and a chat.
I have been a smoker most of my life, but this was crossing a line!!!
i cant say enough about this place!! the beer is fantastic & they brew it all in house. theres a great selection with some really unique or just less common varieties. and they always have a seasonal beer too! the food is great also, they make it all from scratch, which is really refreshing, and the value is fantastic. ive been several times and its always busy with a really good mix of people. the last few times i went in, it wasnt to eat but to fill my new "growler" as they call it...its a reuseable glass jug(that looks like those old moonshine jugs which is awesome) that you can fill with any beer on tap and take it home..or wherever!! its a great deal too.. you just by the jug for $5, then its only $12 to fill each time. its the same price as a 6pack, holds the same amount, and is way better beer!! did somebody say 'go to' christmas gift?:)
my wife and i had the chance to dine at terra two weeks in a row, both times ordering the chefs tasting menu with wine pairings. it is an amazing deal at $40, plus a little extra for the wine. all four courses were excellent!! the simple dishes highlighted the season perfectly as almost all the ingredients were sourced from local farms and ranches as the chef/owner explained to us when he came to our table ask how our meal was. the wine pairing were spot on, and also from local wineries..and not your run of the mill list either..there were a few hidden gems in here that i havent seen in the liqour store before. we also couldnt resist ordering a cocktail to start, which were also seasonal and made from scratch with some of their own infused syrups and liquors!! a great experience overall, we will definately be going back again!!
i did notice however that this listing mentions that they are open breakfast and lunch...its actually open for lunch and dinner, i dont think they serve breakfast
Went for lunch with a local friend, who had been here for coffee/biscotti only. The ambience is a hodge-podge of tables - not terribly charming. And rather quirky - for example, not sure why an Italian restaurant serves water out of mason jars?
Our waitress took our order, but then never served us again. We saw the owner (I'd guess) call out to her that our (teeny) salads (that came with the pasta) were ready, and place them on the counter. She was chatting with a man at the next table and didn't respond. He (owner?) ended up taking the salads to our table. He then brought our meals, the whole time she continued to chat to this man. We ate our whole meal and she was STILL talking to him. Unbelievable.
We all ordered pasta. Mine was penne with meat sauce. When it arrived, there were (and I kid not) four pieces of ground hamburger, and the penne had what can only be described as a skimmed coating of tomato sauce. Other than a few small chunks of tomato, the sauce was pretty much non-existent. I ate a few pieces, then thought - no, I need to say something. So, I went up and asked for more sauce. After a few minutes (how long does it take to spoon some sauce on it?), he came back, and to be honest, I could hardly see a difference. It wasn't if he had ladled some sauce on. It looked basically the same. I gave up and ate the pasta.
My friend's pasta had a bitter walnut sauce on it and my husband's carbonara was dry. For $8.95 each, it was definitely NOT worth the cost. The only saving grace was the slice of home-made (I think) foccacia - though it was quite salty.
When my husband checked the bill later that day he realized that the owner had charged $1.50 for the "extra" sauce. Wow.
The food was poor. The service was even worse. Definitely not good value for you money. I'd never recommend this place.

We Chapters when in Kamloops last March. Great Restaurant! Our waitress was wonderful and very friendly, the menu had a many great choices. my In-Laws chose to stick with the Mexican dishes... they were all delicious... and very plentify. And the view .. WOW.. it is truely Spectacular! We will certifiably be going back again on my next trip through town.
The food is mediocre at best. I think their hollandaise sauce comes out of a powdered mix and their eggs are the cheapest tasting things I've ever eaten. They have a bigger menu than other breakfast places, so there was lots of choice. The food was hot and the service was okay. I did really like their coffee.
The food from here was so good my family and I went back 3 times in the one week we were in Kamloops. This place is a total gem. Taste, portion size and price are awesome. My husband and I shared the Mexican dinner for 2 and the kids had burritos. The next visit we shared a bunch of plates including the prawn dinner and seven layer dip. I can't wait to go back!
