In 2007, Cori Doern gave a jar of homemade soup as a thank-you to her daughter’s schoolteacher. Word spread quickly and, within weeks, Cori had sold 250 jars to local soup lovers. By the end of the year, Cori was supplying liquid gold to cafés in Newmarket and Toronto.
Fast forward to April, 2013. Overwhelming demand from a growing chorus of Georgina foodies prompted Cori to open the doors of Cori’s Café, at 132 High Street in Sutton, to the public.
Today, thanks to that one jar of soup, you don’t have to go far to find delicious soups, salads, wraps and desserts.
