A lovely little place tucked away in East Delta.

We went for a nice afternoon tea a couple of weeks ago and liked it so much my daughter asked to have her 16th birthday party there, treating 4 of her friends to afternoon tea.

We were very surprised by the high quality of the tea served; the sandwiches, scones and tiny desserts were inspired and delicious, fresh and tasty. The server was warm and gracious.

We were *very* pleased to note that the portions of Devon Cream served were generous. One absolutely must be able to look forward to fresh scones dripping in jam and Devon cream!

The ambiance is cozy, and we especially liked our teacups...all pretty and old fashioned, and no one the same.

Major Quibbles:
None!

Minor Quibbles:
The brand of tea served was decent but not outstanding.

We definitely intend to go here again, and take guests. Note that they also sell delicious fresh fudge!

Nothing special when it comes to their menu but for quality, consistent food, its a good choice. I usually have their Asian spring rolls to start which come with a wonderful sweet n' sour dipping sauce. For the main course I stick to their mushroom burger with steak fries. Very filling for the price you pay. Great casual restaurant in the Tsawwassen area.

I went there with my husband, mom and dad. We were greeted very kindly as we entered. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding.

My mom and dad love Greek food and now want to go back there everytime they visit!

Thanks for a great experience!!

Mario's has quickly become my favourite restaurant in Tsawwassen. I usually eat there once or twice a week(and I live in Vancouver) and I have no complaints--only praises. The food is great and the staff is always on top of their game. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great restaurant in the Delta area.

Only the noodles & fried rice are edible...

Overall Chinese food just isn't good in Delta/Surrey which means restaurants that would otherwise have failed thrive here. We sometimes cave and order a main dish here just to check if improvements have been made but nope most main dishes are basically inedible, either too salty, or just tastes off on the palate. The veggies are so overcooked they are mushy. They also don't peel the carrots which I dislike. Why the three stars then? Their noodle dishes are excellent. Oddly enough the service here is really good as well, the servers are cheerful and friendly and they don't charge extra if you add ingredients to their dishes.

yummy temaki

This is the only place I ever eat temaki (cone) sushi! They only use sockeye salmon, and the amount of fish to rice is just right. I think they toast the nori as well beforehand its flavourful. Prices are reasonable its $2 per salmon or tuna cone. This restaurant is sort of hidden amongst other stores in North Delta but its worth checking out if you are in the area.

This is one of my favorites for taking my overseas guests to show them the great hospitality and food that is available here in Canada.

Recently took my brother and wife who were visiting from Bermuda so they could experience such great ambience, food and a great time. We had a wonderful and memorable experience. The food was outstanding, the staff made us feel like old friends. My visiting family thoroughly enjoyed the evening and even took back one of their menus which they freely gave them as a memento fo the evening.

This local restaurant will remain high on my list of recommendation for quality and quantity of food and great staff and atomsphere!

If by the sea means fresh this is a pond

I was reading the newspaper and saw an article about this nice little seafood restaurant in Ladner. Since I was planning to head out there with my wife and son on Sunday I decided to give this place a try. From the nice weather to the quite settings I was confident it was going to be a good day-- WHAT A MISTAKE!. We were promptly seated which to me is a good sign but I am now reevaluating my expectations. Me and the wife first started off with the Sharkey chowder. The tomato broth was very acidy, and had a weird old fishy taste to it. My son had a ceasar salad and he had no complaints. The main course was the worst. I ordered the Curried Prawn linguine. Came with a dill cream sauce or something. They should of served it with a spoon. The sauce was so watery that I could barely taste the dill or the curry. The pasta was also overcooked, like it came from a can. Overall, an abmismal experience. The only bright side to this was our nice waitress who was very accommodating. I guess a restaurant next to the water is an illusion of freshness.

I have eaten at Sharkey's twice with another couple, The food was great, especially the mussels in blackbean sauce, and the cioppino. The service was good, prices are reasonable, the patio is nice to hang out on in the summer.I highly reccomend for a casual night out with friends

I have bee here a couple times, and the food was better the first time. The second time we went I had steak and had to sen it back, I had ordered it medium rare and it arrive almost raw. The potatoes that came with were over cooked and tasted as if they had been sitting around quite a while. My friend also ordered a steak medium rare, and had to send hers back as well. The server was very nice about it and went out of her way to help us.

Its no wonder this place is always packed. Cheerful staff and fresh sushi. Daily specials are pretty good too. A little cramped but I guess it adds to the feel of the place. Probably one of the best salmon around in the city.

My two friends and I went for dinner at the Primrose. We couldn't decide what to have so we went with the Greek appetizer platter. Everything was good except the calamari- it was off! We called the server over and told her that it was not very good. She said "oh- we have been serving it all night, and no one else has complained". We said- we don't care about anybody else, we think it is off. She then brought the owner over who told us they had been using the same batter all day (yuck) and that no one else said anything. They then took out plate away, and the owner stood at the bar eating off our plate!!!! I cannot believe that anybody would do something that gross. We were not offered anything else, and our bill was not adjusted. All in all I think they treated us very badly. We will not go back

I am always impressed when at the Rose and Crown. The servers are always attentive and the food is consistent. It's a great place to have a fundraiser. The Manager goes out of her way to find items to auction off for you cause. In my point of view, the best pub in town!

The Japanese couple that run this restaurant are real pros - the food is excellent and so is the service. My friend from Victoria - who frequents many sushi restaurants - says this is the best sushi she's ever had. The teriyaki tofu is especially good - nowhere else I've been makes as good.
