My wide and I (who live 4 blocks away) ordered delivery from this location last night. It took 1 hour and 25 minutes to even arrive at our door. We had ordered; Thai chicken bites, (which are always delicious) bandera bread, pizza bread (with nacho cheese), oven roasted chicken quesadilla (Caesar salad as a side) and the chipotle chicken club (cactus cut potatoes as a side) we received NO dips with our meal, and a Caesar dressing only half full. The lettuce in the Caesar salad was 50/50 green and brown, which means is was by far not fresh. Both of the breads had OBVIOUSLY been sitting under the heat lamps for a while. The cactus cut potatoes are nothing without the dip so that's a waste. The quesadilla seemed to have tomato paste as a spread in it and again no dips for those (salsa and sour cream) the. The club sandwich was clearly under the heat lamps for a long period of time as well as half of the sandwich was inedible. (I know what you are thinking..... oh he says half but that probably just means the crust..../NO I mean literally half of the sandwich was inedible) the bread was so hard that I could not bite through it... I removed the bread to see a chicken breast the size of maybe a mug coaster, now realizing that is also wasted (I still ate the chicken just not as it was intended) and this experience cost us $53.30 before a tip. I did call to inform the manager of this and he was just all "Oh I'm terribly sorry for this" blah blah blah and he graciously took my name and told me the next time I order whether it be dine-in or take-out I would receive $20.00 off my order. However it isn't worth the quality of the food. OBVIOUSLY the people in the kitchen don't give a flying shit about their finished product and have no desire to make people something great. I would like to point out that in no way was their exaggeration in this entire review.... Do not order from here, go to the Nordel Way location.... much better quality in all aspects
We went to this restaurant before and never had an issue but I felt quite compelled to write something this time as it was for Mother's day and we were all sadly disappointed.
As my two grown sons are big eaters, they ordered each a plate of fish and chips with a price tag of $22.00 each. Yes, it was expensive but it was Mothers day and what the heck.
My wife and I also ordered tow separate menu items for our dinners as well as a appetizer.
Well, we got our drinks promptly but waited forever for our appetizer let alone the dinner items. After about 40 minutes, I went to look for our waitress to see about our appetizer and met her at the door. I said to her that I was about to find out what happened to our appies and she replied by saying that they were extremely busy and the kitchen was handling the food for the pub and restaurant.
I said to her that I hope our food does not take as long and she said I hope not either.
Well again, we waited easily another forty minutes and finally the food came and my sons were so disappointed as for $22.00 they got two small pieces of fish and hardly any fries.
When I brought this to the waitress' attention, she brought out more fries for each of my sons. At that time, I said to her that although I appreciated her doing that, the fish pieces were small and she said the price of fish is very expensive.
Although our waitress was very nice, this does not excuse the management team for poor staffing!
I used to go in the mornings for a cheap breakfast Bacon eggs $3 or $4
The Breakfast is a safe bet. You have to pick up your food and Bus your own table. There's a big blackboard that says prices subject to change. So this is their way of keeping the prices down.
But if your buying a big breakfast you pay the same as you would at Denny's or Ihop.
They have fresh baked goods never tried them but they you good.
I had a double bacon cheese burger,it was disgusting,it had so much thousand dressing on it the bun was soaked through and the lettuce and tomato just oozed right out of the burger.
Twice I've had burnt fries, they can't seem to cook them and they are very skinny .
The Milk shakes are good.
I wouldn't care about taking your own dishes back up.But they don't wash the tables, very dirty.
No ambiance.Crappy seats and booths when the guy behind you sits down.you can feel the back of your booth move.
The place is a converted donut shop.If you like cheap Breakfast go if you want a big breakfast go somewhere else
Staff is Friendly
I have enjoyed Hakka Masti Restaurant several times over the past year (2013 - 14). Their Asian Fusion Cuisine (China - India) is outstanding. Prices are moderate. Lunch specials provide a choice of 20 or more items with generous portions. Service is excellent. The restaurant and bathrooms are spotlessly clean.
The atmosphere is quiet and confortable. Hakka Masti is suitable for family and business meetings.
My husband and I have recently moved to the Delta area and were searching for our new weekend
breakfast spot. We tried numerous different resturants and can finally say that we have found our resturant!
The Denny's located in Delta exceeded my expectations for a breakfast joint! The service was very good, given that it was a busy Saturday morning. Our server was very friendly; she offered refills and made sure we were happy with our meals. It was also nice to have a manager drop by our table to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. We are very pleased with this location and the food never disappoints. Only negative I can think of is the lack of parking on the weekends.
My friend invited us to join for a dinner at 'this new place which is very good'. They had been there only once; and were full of praise. We joined them on Saturday evening with skepticism in heart. And we are so happy to say WE WERE WRONG.
An absolutely incredible place - to start, there's ample parking (even for Saturday evening, and despite there being many popular restaurants in the same area); and then the entrance and the decoration. The service which, initially a bit tardy, was soon very efficient and prompt. We tasted various 'vegetarian' dishes; and for each one, we had nothing but the praise. Raman, our attendant, was very helpful in his recommendations; and of course the service.
I would be visiting this place again - soon. And recommend this to anyone who would like to have a good evening out - either with that special one, or with the whole family.
I went here for lunch. I was clear I don't eat bacon. I ordered my meal and I watched the waitress write "no bacon"
My meal came and at a first glance it looked fine. I had some bites and then all of a sudden I was chewing a salty meat like substance. I spit it out and it was PORK/BACON.
I would have loved to call server but she was busy chatting up the only other customer in the place for approximately 7 minutes. Another server came and sent Manager.
He tried to suggest I was confusing a mushroom for pork. I told him I know the difference. He then brought out the returned meal and had me show him the meat. He should have been able to figure this out himself.
Offered us a free meal. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THIS LOCATION OR BP AGAIN.
Disgusting and offensive. No respect for people's dietary and or religious practices.
If you are vegetarian or don't eat pork, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE BOSTON PIZZA.
this is the best place in all of the lower mainland for Nachos. If you try them once you will be back for more, I guarantee it.
Another favorite snack are the Frings......1/2 onion rings and 1/2 fries, a great portion and if you like them crispy just ask for them that way. The management and staff are so obliging and do nothing but give service sevice sevice.
You won't be disappointed with any of the food or beverages at the Rose and Crown.
RON - 5 STAR HANDYMAN
Went here with another couple for dinner on a weekend night. Upon entering the restaurant, I was quite impressed with the decor. It is very moderns and reminds me of Cactus Club. The service was prompt and decent. Nothing above and beyond. We ordered 3 vegetarian dishes (I do not recall all their names but one was mala kofta) and one non-vegetarian (butter chicken). The sauces in all the dishes were good, but after awhile they all tasted the same. We also ordered the garlic naan and the regular naan. I throughly enjoyed the garlic naan. We also also ordered deep fried tandori dish and somosa as appetizers. The deep fried tandori fish was good but the samosas was a expensive for around $10 you gotten two samosa. They were the vegetarian type with mostly potatoes. The bill was almost $100 with tip, Value wise, I had better. The ambiance is great. Next time I plan to order more meat dishes to see if the food tastes better as the vegetarians dishes were satisfactory.
Very tasty food... but small portions & overpriced for all items.
Must have to say the place was full, few times I have been.
Good for people with deep pockets.
Most dishes have unique flavors, service was also good. Worth trying it out.
I liked their "Chilli Mushrooms", it is not that spice, but does taste really good.
I work in the area and once in a while i grab lunch there. Over the past couple years, prices went up and quality/quantity of the food down. Today I was standing in line with about 5-6 people ahead of me and then came bunch of workers in. They got offered to bump the line because they wanted today special. So suddenly i had more than 10 people ahead of me! NOT COOL! I have also noticed that I got tomatoes on my sandwich that the worker took off the sandwich that she was making before mine. Pieces looked like they were cut close to the edge and I guess they weren't good enough for previous customer but not for me. I have also got lot less lettuce. I think I'm going to stop going there
Incredible Thai food. This restaurant would be packed if it was in downtown Bangkok, it is the most authentic dining experience I have had as far as Thai food and this is from someone who goes there all the time. That awesome blend of tangy, sour, spicy, crunch and savory that I look for from Thai places. The pad Thai was off the hook and the Tom Ka was nice and creamy with that lime, lemon grass and ginger kick. awesome place
This restuarant has good interior and it was clean. It's fairly large restuarant and was getting busy for Saturday evening. Came in for early dinner like at 5:30pm. The place not full and people were still coming in. The server could not really understand what we were asking but he did not mess up our order. Food was different but not sure if i would pay those prices as the portions were a bit small. Dinner for two was around $60. We did not have dessert as we did not have room for dessert. They rush you in and out of the restuarant. I would try this place again as i like one of the chicken dishes that we had.
When we ask my kids where they want to eat out, they always pick Salty's Fish & Chips in Delta. It's in a poky little mall, but the location hides the super friendly atmosphere of the restaurant.
Bonus: My dairy-allergic son can eat here safely, and he loves coming here.
The staff are fantastic -- they even remember my kids' favourite drink orders! Totally recommended.
There's tons of these little cafe, sandwich panini, coffee, pastry places around. But, this one is one of the better ones. Lots of sandwiches(premade and made to order), grilled or not, wraps, quiche, soup as well as muffins, squares, cookies etc.
The service is good and the decor is nice. A couple of tables are outside too. Coffee was excellent and teh lattes large and generous.
Only thing I didn't like was there were few prices on the board so it was difficult to order. 2 regular sandwiches, a coffee and a cookie was $16.
The food at this establishment is great. But over the last couple months the food portions have been cut almost in half. I used to feel like a got good value there, now I dont feel that way. My Staff and I do not frequent there near as much as we used to now.
We brought some friends here after a wonderful long hot day in the sun. We had found this pub on a dark cold fall nite.and wanted to share it now with them. Prices were a little high compared to similar venues. We came back to try out the long narrow deck ( Great views) .
We walked in, found a table on the deck , Perfect. The server took our order and left
After forever she returned with our now well aged pints and took our food orders. Eventually the pints were emptied and we waited to reorder , and waited and waited. My wife went on recognizance mission and found her sitting by the bar. We reordered and waited and waited and waited. We asked a busgirl if she could check on our missing waitress . the bus girls delivered our food ( great service ) Our drinks finally also showed up , no "I am sorry for the wait".
I could understand if they were full and busy but they were not. The food was ok, not bad not great..
Our biggest disappointment was the service from our server. if a pub is going to charge a premium prices for their food ( again compared to similar venues ) it should have the service to go along with it
For the first time since I can remember NO tip was given, if the server ain't got the time She ain't getting a dime.
I will start by saying the owners are so very nice and friendly. Sadly the food was not so good.
I had the bento box a with avocado roll subed in for the california roll.
The gyoza's tasted like they had been microwaved, and the rolls had a very fishy smell and I had not fish.
The chicken teryaki was so dry and very little sauce to help make it easier to eat.
Rainbow crab, sadly was felt ill after we ate there,,
we will not return..
We originally came here to eat at E's Up Dining for late breakfast but quickly realized it had been replaced with a new restaurant called Delta's Grill. Decided to check it out anyways and have to say we were pleasantly surprised.
This restaurant is your typical hole in the wall restaurant, nothing fancy and their menu is really simple. However, their prices are very cheap averaging around $7-10 for sandwich & soup or burger & potatoes with included drink. They also sell pasta and other grilled dishes. As the name suggests most of their items on the menu are grilled so you won't find any deep fried dishes or french fries. Instead you get pan fried potatoes which is a nice change.
Onto the food, my wife ordered a fish burger and I ordered chicken burger. First of all the burgers are huge and you won't find premade fish patties here. My wife's fish burger was several fillets of fish stacked on top of each other and was moist, light and delicious. I'll have to get that next time I'm here. My chicken burger came with a grilled chicken breast that had a nice flavour and it stuck out on two sides! I couldn't finish my chicken burger (mind you I came here at 11am) so I had to take it to go. Anyways, excellent value here if you just want something simple for lunch.
The people working there were really friendly and is a family run business. I suggested they start doing a breakfast menu and they may add that down the road but they've only been in business for month and a half. Anyways, I wish them all the best and we'll be back!
Looking for a great lunch at a fair price. Lunch menu has great selection is varied and usually under $10.00. Lots of food well prepared. My favorite is a Mushroom burger. Piled high with fresh mushrooms not canned. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Get there early for lunch as the place is usually packed.
