Tidewaters is a pub, grill, and full service liquor store nestled under the Alex Fraser Bridge. Enjoy a beautiful view of the mighty Fraser from the front patio or have a game of horseshoes and your favourite microbrew in the beer garden out back. We offer a full menu with our famous Brunch Buffet on Sundays. (from their website)
The Other Half and I dropped into Tidewaters for lunch on a Friday. The parking lot was VERY full, and the joint was jumpin'...
We were acknowledged promptly by our server, and had our drinks delivered quickly. Food orders didn't take long either.
I ordered my "benchmark" pub meal, a steak sandwich cooked "rare". I had fries with it. The OH ordered a prime-rib burger with Caesar salad. (we usually split the sides). His burger was excellent. My steak was excellent. The sides, not so much. A very non-descript Caesar, and "meh" fries.
The place was clean, the washroom (ladies) immaculate with fresh flowers! The service was great, and the main part of the meals were also great. We would come back.
The service was amazing! The food wasn't that great with the exception of the wings. The washroom was the pits, there was piss everywhere. Nothing special, good for good cheap wings, and the waitresses there are great! The drinks there were also good and the specials that they have on a daily basis are not bad either. The only thing of concern is the clealiness
