Ricky's is a family friendly spot offering a varied menu of casual classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
My boyfriend and I went to this Ricky's mostly out of desperation. We were fed us with everything else close by and were very pleasantly surprised with the experience.
We were quickly seated by a friendly and hospitable young lady who was attentive and made a great Shirley Temple. We shared the steak and full rack of BBQ ribs along with curly fries and a ceasar salad. Other than the sides being a bit too small for two people to share [which is understandable] our meal was excellent. The food arrived in a timely manner, our steak was a perfect medium rare and the ribs were tender but with a bit too much sauce for my liking. The only thing truly terrible about the place is the atmosphere. The place is outdated, ugly and utterly tasteless. The only redeeming point is how comfortable it feels. The booths are great and this is definitely a place you could go in your pajamas without feeling too out of place. Overall, very low key and unassuming.
Altogether our bill came to $41 for steak, ribs, ceasar salad, curly fries, one Shirley Temple and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice. We were completely satisfied and plan to return.
i was taking my girlfriend out on a date tonight at the rickys just for a change.
we ordered the "7th heaven lasagna" and "simple pasta", with a side order of the garlic type bread.
i asked for an order of the bread to start, took her 15 minuites and i had to ask her what was going on, she commented "it has to cook in the oven hold on ill go check" so we waited, she came back with a plate of black burnt bread and said "well they burnt it you can have it or we can make you a new order" and i looked at it and laughed thinking "what the hell why would i want this garbage its burnt?!" so i said yeah go get me another order. so we waited another 10 minuites and she brought me another order and it was not even cut all the way so it was very sloppy..
and than came our actual meals.
her plate of spaghetti looked very delicious and was very well presented.
my plate on the other hand was very poorly presented, there were black smoke marks around the sides which was disappointing, this is the second time i have been there and have had such a bad experience i had to write a review about it.
i would honestly never recommend anyone to dine here, the burgers are a very good eat here tho, i definitely recommend the Hawaiian and the atomic onion burger, but the actual meals were very horrible.
so if you are thinking of trying it out anytime soon, be warned.
