The Primerose is a Mediterranean restaurant in Delta offering dinner specials Sunday through Thursday.
My husband and I recently started frequenting the Primerose restaurant in Delta and found it to be a great treasure that we have been missing the past 15 years sunce living in Ladner.
The service by our favorite server Tanya, is the best we have experienced at some of the best restaurants in Vancouver, and the food is superb. Each time we have ordered something different and never been disappointed.
we would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone living in Tsawassen, Ladner or North Delta.

We have to say that everytime we have been here for dinner its been incredible. The food is amazing as well as the service. But the thing that stood out to us, has to be the ambience of this resturant. Its quiet and romantic, just what we have been looking for. Steve, Maria and there son Chris are so welcoming and warm. The service is amazing, they know there wines and are very sharing, to tell you where to find a bottle of your favorite wine if you would like to serv it at a dinner party that you are hosting at home. I am hosting my partner's Birthday party there and we are very excited to see what the outcome will be. Perfect I am sure. This is now are new Romantic Hideway
Thank you Steve and Maria for the Primerose Bar & Grill

I visit my parents in Surrey and this is one of their favorites.
I've been here many times over the years and they have always delivered and I see they are catering to a very specifc older generation of diners. Greek / mediterranean based menu had me wanting something a bit more updated.
The restaurant is kept VERY clean and has a nice charm to it.. decorated like a mediterranean courtyard and they've made it look nice considering it's in an industrial park.
Food wise.. again.. tastes good but it's just the same old stuff. they need some updated for me to get excited about coming here.
We have been to this restaurant on numerous occasions but they have messed up for two Birthdays. We had made prior arrangements to have my wife's Birthday and my Birthday on different dates celebrated there with our kids. They forgot! It was my Birthday that my wife was almost in tears over. She had brought this to the owner's (Maria)attention when we left. She was apologetic about it and offered a complimentary dinner for us but my wife did not want to return there. It took almost a year later for us to return but "as expected" no one knew anything about the free dinner. Maria never returned my phone call but we sucked it up and ate there anyways. Everything was good on that night. All I'm saying folks is keep reminding them if you have a special event planned there otherwise there will be dissapointment.
This place is amazing. Nearly 10 years ago, my wife and I went on our honeymoon to Greece. The primrose made us feel as though we were back there. The decor is unreal as it mimics a patio setting in a courtyard with an open kitchen. This reminded my wife and I of the restaurants we dined at on the Greek Islands.
The food was simply marvelous! For appetizers we had calamari and this greek cheese that is flambéed on a pan. The calamari was the best tasting calamari I have ever had!
For dinner, I had the Rack of Lamb, and my wife had the delmon steak. Let me tell you, the Rack was the best cooked lamb I have ever experienced. The server highly recommended it and boy were they right! My wife's steak was also amazing as it was covered in blue-cheese and fried onions. For desert we shared a creme caramel (My favorite desert!) which was to die-for.
The service was great, really friendly from the moment you walk in. My only complaint was how full the place was on a Friday night, so I do recommend to call ahead of time. The place was packed with a line-up at the door, but let me tell you it was well worth the wait. The Bartender offered us drinks at the bar while we were waiting which made the time fly by.
Overall I highly recommend this place!!!!!!
My hubby and I went in on the Saturday after Valentine's Day, and lets just say it was first class.. It was a full house (which means good!) , the hospitality was trumendous, and the food was impressive.. The rack of lamb is to die for.. I strongly recomend the Kalamari and the Mussels Athena.. The Kalamari was perfectly seasoned and the Athena sauce was soooo good we ate it with spoons! (lol) ... To cap the night off, the owners sent us complimentary flaming sambucas and "actually" sat down with us... It is very rare to see an owner sit and greet their costumers.... They were so graceous and cant wait to see them again..
The ambience was nice and unique.. Not many places you see such high ceilings and an open kitchen... I just can't wait until the patio opens up again!
I am not familiar with the area of Delta but I don't think my husband and I will go further than the Primerose for good food... Best place in town hands down..
I have been here for lunch before and the calamari was solid then.
This time I went for dinner and was placed by a table of 13 when there was lots of other room. It was loud. No lasagne and five average seeming pastas. Ordered Vongole and chicken souvlaki. Server when asked his opinion starts giving me the ingredients. I ask his opinion and he says averagely they're both very nice. Our server had about as much personality as a dead horse. After we got our food, he never came back, never asked us how it was and never refilled out drinks. Only came to drop off the bill. Souvlaki was decent but the vongole was bland. I will not be back to this restaurant even if someone else is buying.
I went there with my husband, mom and dad. We were greeted very kindly as we entered. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding.
My mom and dad love Greek food and now want to go back there everytime they visit!
Thanks for a great experience!!
This is one of my favorites for taking my overseas guests to show them the great hospitality and food that is available here in Canada.
Recently took my brother and wife who were visiting from Bermuda so they could experience such great ambience, food and a great time. We had a wonderful and memorable experience. The food was outstanding, the staff made us feel like old friends. My visiting family thoroughly enjoyed the evening and even took back one of their menus which they freely gave them as a memento fo the evening.
This local restaurant will remain high on my list of recommendation for quality and quantity of food and great staff and atomsphere!
My two friends and I went for dinner at the Primrose. We couldn't decide what to have so we went with the Greek appetizer platter. Everything was good except the calamari- it was off! We called the server over and told her that it was not very good. She said "oh- we have been serving it all night, and no one else has complained". We said- we don't care about anybody else, we think it is off. She then brought the owner over who told us they had been using the same batter all day (yuck) and that no one else said anything. They then took out plate away, and the owner stood at the bar eating off our plate!!!! I cannot believe that anybody would do something that gross. We were not offered anything else, and our bill was not adjusted. All in all I think they treated us very badly. We will not go back
