I don't spend a lot of time in Tsawassen so can't compare this to other places in the area. But if you're looking for a good japanese restaurant down there, try this place out. It's tucked in the back of the mall. They have a full menu with all the usual dishes and licenced. The agedashi tofu was beautiful and unique.

Nice Little Retreat!
We eat often here, and find it pays to get there early for lunch as the place has many admirers and fills quickly. They are very patient and kind to children.

The sushi is great, and the luncheon or dinner boxes are generous and tasty. The tempura is heavenly, and one of our favourite dishes is the Tempura Udon...a nice big bowl of delicious noodle soup served with an assortment of tempura, including their juicy and delectable tempura prawns.

They make very nice party trays for you to order and take home.

Tea is very good as well...so much so we beg for refills.

Best sushi in Tsawwassen

This is my favorite place to go for sushi. If you like spicy tuna rolls then you have to try it. They are to die for! I have tried the other sushi restaurants in town and they don't compare. They can get busy but that is a good sign. I have ordered out from there as well. Great service. Great food.

I tried this place once. The food was pretty good, the location is not bad either. I ordered sushi . I was served maybe 20 minutes after I ordered, which isn't too bad. The pricing is about average for japanese restaurants, and the menu selection is pretty good. I really wouldn't mind coming back to this place.

Great place to have Japanese. You wouldn't expect such a small place in Tsawwassen to beat fancy restaurants in Vancouver but this place does it. Everything on the menu is delicious! The sushi is fresh, the rice bowls are good and the tofu is to die for.

A must visit!

We've been waiting anxiously for Peekaboo to re-open after it was destroyed by a fire in an adjacent part of the mall. There are few other choices for sushi and Japanese in this area; Peekaboo is by far the best IMO. At last they are back. The new location is not obvious from the main street, but well worth making an effort to find them in the back, across from the BC liquor store. The new digs are comfortable and stylish, with parking right at the door. That's an improvement for take-away and for those with disabilities.

The sushi is good and compares favourably with "big city" sushi in Vancouver, with generous sized portions and modest prices. They use a light hand on the wasabi but provide lots of extra on the side. I particularly like the Agadashi tofu, and the miso soup is made with care. There is an extensive list of cooked items as well; the tempura is light and delicate, a good choice. I can't list everything we like, because it's all good. We eat here at least once a month or more, and it's a favourite with the locals.

I really enjoyed the food and the fast service. They were great with my kids. The salmon sashimi was delicious and fresh. The lunch box had plenty of food, and it was all well made and fresh. It was a pleasant experience. Cannot wait to go back!

The Food Quality is Good

Despite being run off their feet on the evening we visited, the food quality was good. Everything was very fresh and the salmon was wild. Items like the tempura displayed a light touch. The kitchen staff definitely know what they are doing. However, they need to address a few issues at the front of the house with the volume of take out business, as it severely impacted the quality of service. This is a little gem in the breezeway of a suburban mall.
