My family and I were long-term regulars at this establishment until our last experience here. The food and service were horrible and my husband ended up with food poisoning from his seafood pasta. He was very ill, and missed out on a family weekend with the kids, as well as a very important business meeting. I phoned the restaurant and left my information and was advised that the owner would call me back....never received a call. I emailed the restaurant and also wrote a negative Facebook review. There was no reply to the review, but they did take the time to reply to the woman who responded to my comment about how she no longer eats here either...nice. I did receive a reply to my email, in which they defend the quality of the food and tell me that they hope to regain my trust in the restaurant. I replied, advising that we have four young children and that I find it difficult to justify spending more money with them at this point and asked how they feel they will attempt to regain our trust. It has been a few weeks, and no reply. I'm disappointed that our local pub is not making mre of an effort to make things right.
I've been going here for years even when it was kind of a dive before the most recent renos. I used to go because it's close to my house. I go now because it looks amazing inside and the new menu is fantastic. The short rib beef dip is for sure the best I have ever eaten in my life. The brechetta is to die for. The cooks just take so much care in their food. I'm pretty sure they must have hired an actual chef to run the kitchen as the food is such high quality and appealing to the eye. This place is a for sure have to check out if your in town. Delta is right on the border of surrey and in the lower mainland about 20 mins from Vancouver. Worth checking. Out if your anywhere in the area to be honest. Also on Sunday's they have half price menu. They do this to draw people in. It works! What happens is people come in on Sunday's the food is so good that they can't wait until next Sunday. And go back during the week and spend full price lol. Anyhow like I said before it's a must try! The other reviews are old on here so don't trust them trust me lol. When you go and love it as much as I do make sure to leave a review so that others go too. I don't want this place to ever shut down for a lack of customers. Then where would I get a yummy beef dip?
Loud loud loud. The volume on the TVs are set way too high. Impossible to converse. Lone waitress left to handle about 30 customers by herself did a admirable job. Food was good for a pub. I had the halibut and chips $12.99 and found the fish soggy. Lots of TVs on all the walls. Why do side by side TVs have the same programs on when there is more than 1 sporting event on? Restroom okay. Lots of parking.
We live in this area (Surrey side of Scott Rd) and we frequent this pub at least once a week. My husband an expat Brit swears this is they best place for a pale ale. Clean pipes, correct temp etc for the keg. The weekend brunch is awesome, I like the veggie skillet with the real hollandaise. The staff is friendly and attentive. Lots of big screen tvs and Setanta if you like european 'football'. Lots of parking. Check out their website. Enjoy!
