Interesting restaurant with geographically inappropriate name. Also serves steak, pizza and pasta.
Great Pizza!!I wish I could just stop there!LOL.My Family & myself have been going to Niagara for years!!The food is great, the pricing is more than fair!Overall you will not find a better Greek restaurant in Ladner.Family owned,we always see the same staff! The place needs a new makeover, but the food is so good, ill put up with bad art work & colours!
This has become my go-to place in Ladner for Greek food, although there is an other place in town that is almost as good.
The souvlaki specials are generous and never disappointing either in quality or value and the accompanying Greek salad is just as good and almost entry- size.
Went there last night for pickup and the place was packed, in fact the parking lot was packed. The interior was recently re-done and while I have never eaten in, it's something I plan to do in the future. As for the service on pickup, I have never had a problem.
I partly grew up in Ladner and I still come back often. Whenever I do I have to have my Niagara fix.
Sometimes its Pizza (which is probably not the best in the lower mainland, but definetly the best in the area and one of my favorites) but usually its the baked pasta. I don't know what they put in their meat sauce but its amazing and, through all my travels around the province and into the 'States, I have not found a better baked pasta!
Seriously, get the baked pasta.
As for the atmosphere I only rated it mediocre because it hasn't been updated and some people will find that boring but I find it nostalgic - good greek/pasta places have always had that like early 80's look to them when I was growing up, and I like that they still use the same printed paper placemats that they did when I was a kid! I know its not for everyone, but just get take out in those amazing tinfoil square/round dishes then!
If you're in the area and want good comfort food, go. There's a reason this place has been an institution in Ladner since I can remember (about 13 years, and I'm sure they were around before I was).
Yuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm!! You cannot go wrong with their pizza or steaks. SO tasty! We like to go on the weekend (including Friday's) when they offer a salad bar with select entrees - simple yet so delicious!
The ambiance is very old school since it hasn't changed since opening some 30 odd years ago but that just adds to the coziness, imo.
The portions are fantastic and the value is even better - the taste of their pizzas and steaks are to die for!!
My family, friends and I ALL LOVE this restaurant!!
Some friends recommended this restaurant and when we went, they were having their filet mignon special. What luck! So that's what we had and we were both pleased with the meal. And it is an excellent deal - something like $22 for two full filet meals. They have a different special every night I think but I'm hooked on Mondays!
if you don't like the delivery, you should pick it up, and stop complaining. the food is amazing and if you pick up it's ready in usually 20 minutes. pizza is amazing, greek food is nearly the best in ladner, certainly for the price.
We came for dinner since we read about their renovation a few months back. We like their food, so we wanted to see their new decor.
Pretty nice, definately needed the update. No music playing?? which was really weird. All you could hear was the banter from the kitchen and service staff and the owner talking loud at one of the corner tables.
Our server came to the table and blankly asked us what we wanted to drink. No suggestion of any sort. Hello, your a server, 'have you heard of suggestive selling???' if you suggested something, maybe I would have gotten that instead of water.
We were a bit indecisive on our menu choice. We decided on the lasagna and chicken souvlaki. The food came out at a reasonable time. There were two other tables there while we were there. Great food, but service very lacking. It ruins the experience.
I wish we had the other server, she was smiling and seemed genuinely happy to be serving people.
After residing in Ladner for 30 years, my husband and I have an inexplicable addiction to Niagra pizza. This is truly the best around - tons of cheese - can't make it for less. BUT!!!! We've had way too many bad experiences with the order mix-ups, the delivery person trying to find our address - the same address that we've been at for years - and not to mention, the owner's inability to understand English as to get the order right. When the owner was made aware that our order was misunderstood (because of the language barrier), he proceeded to argue with us as to what we had ordered. On another occasion, we got our order an hour and a half after ordering it and our French Onion soup was spilled and soaked into one of our pizzas, and that's how it was delivered to us. When we phoned and complained, they said they'd send another one out. 45 minutes later, we called to see what was happening, and they said they were waiting for enough orders for the delivery person to go out. In other words, it wasn't worth their while to deliver to us unless it was on their way. We've tried not to patronize them, but they really do make the best pizza in town. It's just too bad that we've had sooo many bad experiences with them. Eventually, we just cannot help but to go back.
