This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had without a doubt. Every dish we had lacked flavour to the point of being tastless, the fried rice was bordering on burnt and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like it came from a can. Not only was the food terrible but it was a complete RIP OFF!!! The two egg rolls we had were so anemic that they only had 3 or 4 been sprouts inside and that's it and the beef chop suey should have been called vegetarian because there was not much beef to speak of. This place is not woth the money at half the price I will never go back. Do not waste your money look for somewhere else.
Bought take out 3 items for around $9.00 (veggies, with chicken, tofu with mushroom, and shrimp and veggies. Firstly they mixed all the vegetables in one box so we couldn't distinguish which one is what, then noticed that there were 2 small pieces of chicken and 3 small shrimps and 2 mushrooms. The rest of it was cabbage and some small pieces of carrots, which was raw not even stir fried and was absoultely tasteless. When we went to return the food they said that they do not return the money and made not efforts to change anything and were rude and unaccomodating. I am never going there again and will not recommend this restaraunt to anyone. Definitely a bad expereince.
given the lack of really good chinese places in north delta, this i have to say is the only place i regularly visit for chinese take out. While it is not the most convenient to the area i live, it is the most consistent. This isn't to say its perfect, since for whatever reason there is a big issue of consistency for chinese takeout in this part of the lower mainland.
ultimately, for good, for the most part non greasy chinese, this is the solid place to go.
usually order: chicken chow mein, sweet&sour pork, beef broccoli
and to comment regarding the chicken chow mein, there is always a fair amount of chicken -- and trust me, ive had it a lot! -- dont go by the other rating stating that its non-existant.
I ordered take out from King's Choice after receiving one of thier many menus over the months. I finally decided to give it a chance, as good Chinese food in Surrey is rare.
We ordered three items off the menu, however, what we received was far from what we had expected. We order the 3 item combo, which included Chicken Fried Rice, Almond Chicken, and Sweet and Sour Pork. In this item, they put no chicken what-so-ever in the Chicken Fried Rice, and simply threw in dry old almond chicken on top of the rice to conceal thier cheat. The Sweet and Sour Pork was old and extremely dry and chewy.
The second item we ordered was the Chicken Chop Suey, however, all it contained was cabbage, and a few pieces of chicken. The third item we ordered was the Chicken Chow Mein, however, they placed no chicken in it what-so-ever, not even one piece. We called the restaurant and told them about the problem, and they proclaimed that thier were two ounces of chicken in each of the items, and when we stated that there was none, and we would be happy to bring it back, they replied by saying the manager would contact us in 15 mins.
The next day, we called back, as no one had contacted us, the restaurant once again said that the manager was not in and that he would contact us. We told them that we have the food still, which we did not eat, but the rep did not care and said that they could not do anything for us.
This restaurant cheats the consumer by removing (or minimizing) all the ingredients that cost money, and filling the order with scraps of cheap ingredients. Do not order from this place, you will be ripped off!
Recently moved to the Delta area and found King's Choice while dropping off my laundry at the dry cleaners.
Saw their ads for late night special so gave them a try after a movie with friends on Friday.
2 of my friends ordered the late night personalized combos for only $8!!! Chicken Chow Mein, Almond Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork (3 items = $8 4 items = $10)
Everything tasted great and was definitely worth the $8!!!
The rest of us ordered from the menu and received 15% (which is also part of the late night special). The new beef and tomato fried rice was really good. The girl who served us was patient and gave us a lot of really good suggestions. Learnt from her that they had a website which offered discount coupons. The egg rolls were a HUGE hit !!! We devoured those while driving home! =)
Will order again FOR SURE!!!
