The food in this place is excellent! One of the few Indian restaurants I have found in the lower mainland that will make my meal "extra spicy" since I am not Indo-Canadian! Usually I get served a "sort of" spicy dish when I ask for "hot", but not here! They always ramp up the heat for me when I ask and I love it!
Service, unfortunately, is a lost cause. They just don't seem to really want people to dine in - takeout is a booming business for them and the dine in crowd seems to be a nuisance for them. Servers are slow, you have to ask for most things twice before you get them, and you often have to get up and walk to the kitchen to find them since they spend no time out on the floor!
The decor is not great, and the tv on the wall usually has someone's wedding reception video running. Not exactly entertainment.
Do yourself a favour and call them to order takeout. you will love the food! Just don't put yourself through the agony of dealing with the poor service for dine in meals.
The service when you eat in is lacking...even if you're the only one in there. We get takeout from here quite often. The ownership has changed hands and we're finding that we get a lot more food for relatively the same price as before. The food taste is still really good. I love their naan bread here.
We went to eat here for my daughters birthday, but we were dissapointed with the ambiance, there was none. We noticed most people were taking out the food. The food was pretty good but we would only recommend take out.
