Boston Pizza offers a casual dining atmosphere with over 100 menu items including a selection of pizzas, pastas and a wide variety of appetizers, meal-sized salads, entrees and desserts. The restaurant also has plenty of big screen TVs to catch the big game.
I totally agree with the previous submission. Been here twice and never again.
Staff are incompetent, do not care about diners, service is the worst, and the whole set up is
a mess. Either this place needs a new owner or even better change into something decent eatery.
I hope the Boston Owner in Dragon's Den reads these reviews.
After learning that the Surrey location of Boston Pizza was closed due to renovations, we decided to drive to the Boston Pizza in Delta. We had never been to this location before, but I assure you that we'll never go again.
While the restaurant was empty, minus a few couples watching hockey, it took us almost 10 minutes to be seated. We were originally greeted by a hostess, who asked us to wait while she tracked down another hostess because she the first hostess was about to leave. They justified this by saying that we were a large group (8 of us in total) and they had to make sure there was a big enough table.
After getting a table, a young waitress came to get our drink orders. She quickly brought them to our table, but then disappeared for almost 20 minutes before coming back to take our appetiser and meal orders. We ordered the twist bread as a full order, but was only brought a single order from the waitress. The ones we were brought contained raw dough and almost no seasoning. We hoped the meal would make up for this, but we were sorely mistaken.
Almost 20 minutes after our appetisers arrived, our food began to trickle in. And by trickle, I really mean trickle. Plates were brought to us in groups of 2- meaning, only two of us were given their food at one time. There was almost a 5 minute wait in between our meals. Then, once the waitress told us all the dishes were served and left to help another table, we noticed that she had missed a plate. It took us 10 minutes to flag her down and tell her about the missing pizza. She went to check, and came back to tell us that the 'card was lost in translation.' When the pizza was finally brought, it was so burnt that we couldn't tell what toppings were on the pizza. We sent it back, only to receive another pizza that was undercooked.
Between all of this, the three waitresses on the floor avoided our table like the plague. No one came to ask if we wanted refills, nor to take the plates away or box the leftovers to take home. At that point, we were ready to leave.
When we saw that they had charged us for both pizzas that were made, we didn't leave a tip. As we gave her the money, she asked us rudely why she wasn't getting a tip, and that 'we didn't know what she was going through.' We left without a word after that.
My suggestion? Avoid the Delta Boston Pizza and go to the one in Surrey. The staff are much more polite, friendly and overall seem to know what they're doing. All I know is that we will never be back.
Even though I live 5 min away from the Nordel location, I always find myself coming back to this one because of the superior service and food. Cactus cut potatoes are always crispier, lasagna always served piping hot and servers you can flag down and get help is awesome! We're always greeted as soon as we enter and have no trouble being seated right away. Servers actually come to check up on you and refill waters. Be sure to drop in on Tuesdays for Pasta Tuesday!
I recommend that anyone who lives in Delta go to this location instead of the one on Nordel one for superior food and service!! I also know the former manager and one of the former bus boys at the Nordel location and, believe me, don't eat there.
We visited this location three weeks ago. We have already had two bad experiences prior to this, but we thought, third time may be the charm. Wrong!
Upon arriving, two hostesses were at the front but did not help us, they continued chatting about their weekend. Our friend saw us and waved us over. Our server came, took drinks. Came back with drinks, offered an appy. We got the appy to start, twenty minutes later, i called her over and asked if she forgot to punch our order in. She said it would be right out. She came out ten minutes later with said raw appy. (dough was not cooked) She said the manager is taking care of it because it took so long. Fine.
We finished our appies and were now waiting for our meals, remember it has been almost 40 minutes since we sat down. We wait another ten minutes, no food. Another table that came in after us, received their food! We were not too impressed.
My friend went to the front to ask to speak to the manager. they spoke at the front for about five minutes or so. He comes back to the table and the "manager" comes to the table and says your food is ready, do you want it? At this point, we dont want it, due to having to wait so long and the lack of insincerity within this so called manager. We say no. She says well its just gonna get thrown away so you might as well take it. I'll pack it up for you. We tell her that is not the point. She offers it to us once again and we decline.
We ask for the bill, pay for our drinks and leave. the 'manager' never once offered an apology of any sort. We brought this incident to the head office and all they did was forward us a letter that they use for everyone else.

I've had a lot of good times at Boston Pizza and this location holds a lot of good memories for me. It's very close by to where I live and I love the fact that it's open so late. Pasta Tuesday is a great night to go.. but then again, every night seems like a good night for Boston Pizza. I can't say I'm actually a huge fan of the pizza anymore due to the heavy amount of grease that I see pooling on top of the cheese, but I love their pasta, strombolis, rice bowls, etc. This is a really great place to go with family and friends and I've always been satisfied with my experiences here. Thanks Boston Pizza!
