Really Bad service my family has had in along time

First of all....I am assuming the only reason the food was bad was because the service was bad. It took long for someone to take our order. we alomost left. we shouldve left. we ordered and that took long. when we got our meals they were cold. and the steak was dried out and cold, We ended up not eating most of it. I think we all lost our appetites. A family of 4. Table 32 - 6 pm October 22, 2011. It was not worth the expense for our hard earned money. was definately a big let down.

This place is a great midweek dinner spot as well as a solid breakfast joint. The menu is ridiculously large and offers something for everyone. Don't go in expecting to be blown away and you will end up pleasantly surprised. We typically go for a baked pasta dish which are always tasty. Portions are large with most entrees being served with salad and garlic toast. If you stick to house favorites, you wont leave unhappy. Seating is all booths which is cozy. Recent renovations have increased the ambiance. Well placed TV's, cheap eats, and regular drink specials make for a solid place to enjoy the game or Sunday golf over brunch.

Wendy's Customer Service

I frequent Wendy' drive through nearly everyday. For a couple of reasons: 1) it is 2 blocks from my house and 2) i love their salads, I have purchased a Baja Salad frequently replacing the chili with grilled chicken., then one day, they tell me they can not do it. And I say, they have been doing it all the time. And they say it costs too much and I say well, what about customer service- why don't you charge for the difference that the chicken costs and keep your chili... the "manager" said we can do it... cost is full price of a chicken and you get the chili...???? OMG what is it with these people? I am more than willing to pay the 2 dollar increase for the chicken but why chg e 3.50 and make me take the chili... gawd have merci on us... these people know NOTHING about customer service.... its to bad they lost me as a loyal customer of a freaking piece of chicken... I spend at least 10-15$ a day there... x 7 days this about 70-105 dollars a week.... approx 500/month... wow they freaking lost a lot when they refused to embrace customer service... I am taking my business elsewhere.... sad state of affairs.

i went there last week which is my first time to be there. wow so busy there.(i dont expect that busy, have to wait 20 mins to get a table.) the food is ok. i ordered saltfish fried rice with ice milk tea. that's is not the best in town but is about the average. (but is ok with that cheap price.) the ice milk tea is good taste but too much milk in it. i think i will go there to fill up my stomach again if i go to coquitlam.

It is rare to have a real, seasoned chef prepare simple items at such reasonable prices, yet Soup Plus seems to offer exactly that.

I ventured into this small shop at recommendation of a well known chef / friend who heartily endorses the joint, and my god he was right! The owner is a well seasoned chef who recently opened (or took over Soup Plus) and transformed it into a humble spot that serves food foodies will recognize as truly special and rare.

In a city crawling with food spots, it is still a rare occasion to find such excellent quality of homemade dishes, prepared with care and attention to detail.

The meatloaf is meaty, and sings with all the vegetables - a tower of delight on a homemade sub or nestled between two crisp slices. The Big Louie is lipsmacking good, moist and delicate, allowing the slices of beef to engage the pallet.

The salads are made with simple yet well-balanced balsamic vinegar dressing, and the toasted sandwiches are a respite for a cheese lover.

Any dish you encounter on the menu is prepared by the hospitable owner, and no matter what you order, you will not be disappointed.

I trek from Vancouver whenever I can just to sit in this humble cafe and indulge my appetite. I only wish they could be a little closer. A little eatery that truly packs a punch!

If you want a steak done properly!

I hadn't been to a Keg in over 20 years. Mainly because I'm not a huge steak eater. We were given a gift card from a friend, so we decided to give the new Coquitlam location a try.

Parking was nice. They share the parking lot with the Bestbuy, so there's plenty of space.

We were greeted by 3 friendly staff as we entered, and were lucky enough to get the last table for 2 for the evening.

The decor is modern and new, but was a bit on the dim side. I guess some prefer the mood lighting. The bathrooms were a little worse, as they seemed quite eery in the dim lighting.

Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and gave us the specials, as well as details on how their menu worked. I ordered the Filet Minion meal, which came with a 7oz filet minion steak wrapped in applewood smoked bacon, veggies, and a side (I chose fries). My wife ordered the Prime Rib with tiger prawns, with a double baked potato. We shared a caeser salad. There was also complimentary sour dough bread which seemed like it had just come out of the oven.

Everything was amazing. Fresh, cooked to perfection. The filet minion almost melted in my mouth, and was seasoned just right. My wife's prime rib was also very moist and tender, and was excellent with the provided sauces (au juice and horse radish paste). The tiger shrimp were crisp and not overcooked. The tangy fruity dipping sauce for them was refreshing, but not overly sweet.

Price wise, as expected everything is a bit on the higher side, but well worth every penny for the quality of the food. Total for the 2 of us with no drinks, appies or desserts was $85. Not your regular night out, but certainly worthwhile for a special night out.

Overall very impressed, and will return again for another special day!

I have been here a few times since it has opened. I have never been disappointed. I usually get the chicken donair but have also tried the beef. The meat is always very juicy and delicious. They are also not stingy on filling. My boyfriend got the Sultan Siza and couldn't even finish it! And can he ever eat! The ambiance is nothing to rave about. The huge tv is kind of strange as well. The service is fine. My only complaint regarding the service is that the women working behind the counter are not friendly and don't look very happy to be there!

Quality of food is poor; it's overpriced, and the manager doesn't seem to care whether we return or not. The chipotle chicken caesar wrap barely had any chicken in it ... hardly worth the $10.49 they charge for it. When we advised the manager, she claimed they weigh the chicken and only offered to take 15% off our bill.

Stumbled across this restaurant while taking my dog to the nearby vet. I wish I had known about it sooner!

Rice/noodle dishes are tasty, about what you'd expect from any number of Vietnamese places, but what really sets Eat Well above is their Pho and the overall value you get for your money.

I'd compare the Pho at this little hole in the wall with the Pho at the now legendary Pho Tam in Surrey--it's that good!

For those in the Tri-Cities area, there is (IMO) no better place to get your Pho fix.

I have been to Copa Cafe on Cambie St Vancouver a few times and their food and service was fine to me. This was my first time to visit the one in Coquitlam, and my experience was a 5 Star... MINUS!!!

The environment is more to the high-end decorated, which is comfortable. I ordered a "afternoon tea menu" of laksa with deep fried pork chop, which is $9.95! If you have been to many other Hongkongese style cafes, you should know that those "afternoon tea menus" are commonly priced as $6-7, or $8 maximum. For a $9.95 afternoon tea dish (not dinner) in Coquitlam (not Vancouver DT), I expected the dish shouldn't be bad at all. However, very ridiculously, the soup base tasted salty but nothing more, and it smelled a tiny bit of rotten coconut. The bowl only contained plain thin rice noodles (vermicelli) and some bean sprouts and green onions, but usually there are dried bean curds in laksa, some have boiled egg in half too. The pork chop didn't over cooked, yet it's very lean and non-juicy (not the usual bone-in type). The iced tea with milk ($1 extra for the iced beverage) tasted no tea at all but like water with milk. A male server (dressed like a manager, with glasses) came to collect the empty bowl with a strong scent of cigarette smoke!

Was that my problem or what? But I will never go there again!

Came here with a good friend and tried their Nabeyaki Udon, an Unagi roll and a dinner box, which consisted of California roll, beef tempura, salad, miso soup, tempura and some kind of fried wonton. While everything was super fresh, as most authentic Japanese Restaurants are, I was a bit disappointed with the salty California roll and only okay tempura. Don't get me wrong, the cooked food is good, but left me wanting more. I heard that their sashimi is the best, so I hope to try that next time when I don't have a diet restriction. =( Service is friendly enough, but they didn't refill our tea at all. Restaurant is decent sized and clean. I hope I can give it another chance next time, because it's quite rare to find good authentic Japanese places in the tri-cities =)

We had dinner here for the first time on a Saturday night. This is a newer Keg and the atmosphere with the lights turned down low was very nice. We had made reservations for 2 and were seated at a nice sized booth behind a giant barrel which they have throughout the restaurant. Our servers were polite, friendly and helpful throughout the evening. We decided to have the 10 oz classic prime rib dinner and a regular 10 oz prime rib. I like my prime rib medium and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection as always with a nice pink color and it melted in our mouths with just the right amount of marbling. I had fries with it but next time will get a baked potato instead. The au jus and warm bread was good too. It was my boyfriend's birthday so he got a free Billy Miner pie (mocha ice cream drizzled in caramel sauce & sliced almonds in a chocolatey wafer crust). It was large enough to share and quite refreshing. When we have a craving for prime rib we always go back to the Keg...

My Partner and i were out in Coquitlam for dinner, and felt like Greek. So we decided to try out Kefi. We hearld it was good by some friends of ours. It was a friday nite and the place was busy. We ordered 2 appys and it took forever!!. A good 30 mins tops, For calamari and greek salad. The calamari was very over cooked and swimming in oil. I sampled the greek salad that was oily and slimy. On to the mains 2 roasted lambs. Warning never order this on a busy day, it took close to an hour for our mains to come to the table. And not once did the waitress come over and refill our drinks. The lamb was awful. Over cooked very tough and not folk tender. As mentioned it would be. Maybe next time we will go downtown and go to Takis.

A twelve dollar pasta dish here is the equivalent of a $24 dish in a more trendy part of Vancouver, and then its two for one. Great value. I had a tomato-based sauce while my wife had a cream-based sauce. We shared our dishes and we both loved them. They are genuine made-from-scratch sauces, and the noodles are done well too.

Although the place is clearly understaffed, our server was pleasant enough and could answer questions about the food. However, we are lucky we didn't arrive a few minutes later. While we were seated immediately, some large groups soon arrived and I overheard the waitress telling people they had to wait for up to an hour.

It seems the Coquitlam Korean community just loves this place and will fill it quickly at peak times. And I understand why, considering the quality food and cheap prices. We will most certainly be coming back.

I have been going to this pizza place for years now since it is so close to where I live. I have to say, Plateau pizza is one of the best Pizza places in the lower mainland. Their pizza is always up to quality and their prices are low and reasonable. Their service is always top notch and their delivery is always on time. Their "Big Meat" pizza is absolutely to die for and their new thin crust pizza is a welcome addition. If you want something independent and local this is the place to go!

So, I love good food, wine and ambience, and the keg and sushi weren't doing it for me. I wanted something special for my date and freedom from now ex-wife, so my blondie girlfriend and me finally could walk proud in public and we tried out Joey.
The interior is superb, modern and chic, but really comfortable. I loved the set-up of the bar with the ice displayed under it!
We shared a bottle of wine and got some complimentary champagne. The oysters were awesome and we both had the fish that was so right.
The waitress was saucy cute and the tallest girl in miniskirt in the whole room. Blondie hostess was not bad by all means either.
For $68 we had food, wine, candy and great ambience. Enjoyed my freedom celebration.

I read the last review the same day I had a large party booked for the last day of a long weekend. Needless to say I was a little bit worried. However we had the exact opposite experience of the previous reviewer.

Our group of 25 (mostly seniors) was greated plesantly at the door, seated quickly and noticed that the air conditiong was set just perfect. Our server took our drink orders, which was tough because some people wanted drinks not on the menu, others wanted water with lemon-no ice or many different ways. Everybody got exactly what thay wanted, quickly. The Owner popped in just to make sure everybody was doing fine.
25 food orders were a quite varied, but also came hot and exactly as ordered. Endless fries were offered to any one who wanted, but the portions are good enough. I've had many things on the menu and and enjoyed them all.
If you have never been to "The Grill" it's a well kept secret that they have the best soups in BC. I have many seniors that will confirm this, and its a different 2 soups every day of the week! The value is great, about ten bucks for a execlent meal and some leftovers, 2 bucks for a soup or salad.
Back to our party... The staff were SuperHeros on September 5th 2011. Everybody in our group was well looked after and left happy with good things to say about the restaurant.
Sherese our server did a great job, Mike the owner came in a few times to check-in our our group.
The birthday girl had a free desert, and I was very happy we choose The Coquitlam Grill as our favorite restaurant.
Please do yourself a favor and come try this restaurant.

Really bad service

Waitress brought us some stale nachos and dip that could only be described as resembling stale dog vomit mixed with cheese, and we figured it was complementary (which isn't unreasonable given how it looked). We ate it anyways, only to found out that it didn't belong to us 30 minutes after it was brought to us. The waitress then came over, blaming us for their mistake, and made a big scene about it. Apparently them confusing the orders of different groups, and taking half and hour to figure it out is a mistake on our part. She didn't even give us a chance to explain the situation, or offer to pay for it. Instead she just gave us a guilt trip, and ignored us for the rest of the night.

Burger was soggy, drinks were poorly made, "spinach dog vomit dip" was bland, waitress was rude. Sad to see the Foggy Dew go from good to awful.

And maybe not even then. The good is that their Greek salad is great and certainly fairly priced. Service was fine and the young lady pleasant. But the pizza was just awful. A large was about $27.00 and even with a 50% off coupon wasn't worth it. My wife, who seems never to complain about anything and who previously liked the pizza here thought it was the absolutely worst pizza she'd ever had. The crust had to be previously made and frozen. Then they burned it and forgot (?) the tomato sauce. Toppings were minimal and tastless (that's the only part we could eat). The place was almost empty at 6 pm. It's easy to see why. I don't think it was just a bad day. Go elsewhere.
