A nice little diner with the owner doing the tables and taking cash. What always suprises me is he always seems to look at my empty water glass and never fills it. I decided last time not to leave a tip so I will see if next time he fills up my glass. Very good food and well priced and always comes to your table very quickly
Had lunch there the other day. Ginger beef with rice and hot and sour soup for $8. The soup was a large serving and very tasty. Lots of ginger beef with just the right heat. You could easily take some leftovers home. Service was pleasant and quick. It's a chinese restaurant so the decor isn't great but it was ok and clean. Will return if I'm in the area.
We've tried several local (Westernized) Chinese restaurants and find ourselves going back and ordering from this one repeatedly. We've probably done so over a dozen times and have found the food and service to be very good and consistent. There's always lots of left-overs which we can then have for lunch.
Portion sizes are very good, vegetables are tender-crisp, fried items are fresh tasting, orders are correct (no surprises or substitutions) and delivery is very fast and free over $20. If you have the brochure, you'll see that there are free items for purchases over $20, $30, $40 and $50 ranging from wonton soup/egg rolls, chicken chow mein, vegetable festival and ginger beef. You don't have to cut out the "Red Hot Coupon", but just tell them you have one when you order. The people on the phone and the delivery drivers are pleasant. There's also a discount for pick-up orders which we haven't experienced yet.
Some favorites: honey garlic boneless pork -- it's not on the menu, but you can ask for it. Singapore style fried vermicelli, breaded lemon chicken (very good lemon sauce), ma po minced beef and bean curd, minced pork and and egg plant hot pot and any meat with gai lan (Chinese broccoli). Dishes that are marked as "hot" have some kick, but I wouldn't say that they are chili hot (more like mild or when you add chili flakes to dishes).
It's the best Chinese take-out in the Tri-city area given the variety of dishes, food quality, value and service.
I continue to come every 2 weeks if not more often. Everything is delicious ALL of the time. Extremely quick and efficient service and before you have time to read the first two pages of the newspaper, Wilson is already dropping off your meal! Decor is nothing to crow about, but who cares when the food is delicious everytime. I've now brought all kinds of friends and visitors here and they all agree...we LOVE this place! Very reasonably priced as well.
I think Zhou's Restaurant is one of the best Chinese Restaurant out there in Coquitlam that I have ever experienced. They make the food you order very well done and cooked in upper class. and always have it in a timely fashion. Many restaurants I have gone to, the food has been good either okay, or good. But When I go to Zhou's its a relaxing environment where you can go with your family or friend, even by yourself and drink some hot tea, relax, and read a paper before your meal gets delivered to you. Even if you order or pickup its still unbelievable food. I do not think I have ever been to a outstanding place like this. I see all sort of people that go to this restaurant from kids, families, older folk , and teens. Its really Nice place to get food from. I like the lunch specials they are good priced.
this restaurant has really improved in the past year..possibly because they know us now...we like authentic chinese food and we ask for them to make it as authentic as possible...my husband and i consider it to be the best chinese food in the tricity area for the price and quality .it is definately worth a try..
